Pleasant fresh citric floral
L’Homme Riche is my second try from Authenticity Perfumes (out of Virginia). It’s fresh and floral, almost effervescent, with some character. Its principal notes are, like the Authenticity fragrance itself, a mix of citruses (bergamot, grapefruit, lemon), along with lavender, clary sage, and a blended base of cedar, ylang-ylang, and amber, though I find most of the base notes fairly undetectable.
The clary sage / lavender provides the most of interesting aspect, the sort of “fresh yet dirty floral” with the clary sage being more prominent earlier and the lavender being more prominent later. And like Authenticity, the blended dry down ends up being fairly musky, and perhaps due to the amber, a touch creamy.
Overall, it’s a well-blended, versatile fragrance. I find it a bit more interesting and enjoyable than Authenticity, and it performs comparably, with good projection for a few hours and solid longevity beyond that. Like the other entries in the other, L’Homme Riche is very reasonably priced, at $40 for 60ml in parfum concentration.
