Fresh, easy to wear
Sampling the latest release from Authenticity Perfumes, a Virginia-based independent company with 5 releases so far. It’s fresh, musky, and sweet, a mix of tonka, lavender, citrus, and musk, mainly, with a bit of the vaguely synthetic DNA that I’ve found to be common to other entries from the house. For some, it may be a turnoff, but I actually find that it helps blend things together. Overall, it’s fairly easily wearable, overall, and not especially masculine, despite the name, but a fairly serviceable yearround option.
Like most others in the line, Urban King is priced at $30 for 60ml so it’s quite a bargain if you’re a fan. My favorite release so far remains L’Homme Riche, the only fragrance of which I’ve purchased a bottle so far, and that might be it for now, but as with the others, Urban King is surely worth trying.
