Eben non Fume
I tested Eilish No. 2 as a cheaper alternative to the excessively overpriced Ébène Fumé.

For me, this fragrance has too many masculine notes to function as unisex.

On its own, Eilish No. 2 is "interesting" as a celebrity perfume and I would not have expected such fragrance notes from a perfume by a pop singer. It's nice to see that pop can be different from the same old boring sweet and floral mishmash.
The opening is unbearable for me. Strong, chemical, soggy and confused. I wanted to wash my hands but decided to "endure" it. For the first 20-30 minutes, the fragrance couldn't be further from Ébène Fumé. Only later in the drydown, when only the base notes can be smelled, does the fragrance take on some similarities with the Tom Ford scent.

At this point, Palo Santo and ebony dominate. However, there is a lack of facets and depth compared to Ébène Fumé.

Compared to Ébène Fumé, the longevity is better (which is unfortunately an absolute impertinence with Tom Ford) but the fragrance profile is simpler and less refined.

Anyone who loves Ébène Fumé and wants Eilish No. 2 as an alternative will be disappointed.

Even as a stand-alone fragrance, Eilish No. 2 is out of the question for me, as the cruel opening and the difference to Ébène Fumé are too huge for me.

The bottle consists of a disproportionate amount of "material" compared to the actual contents. Well, for those who like it.

Uncanny
There is most certainly an uncanny resemblance to Tom Ford Ébène Fumé. It was honestly my first and last impression. Not quite as deep, but just as bold. I found the apple blossom and vanilla to be nonexistent. Poppies tend to smell smoky by default, so this note seemingly meshes well. A stunning bottle design many collectors would want among their assemblage of fragrances. I'm not usually impressed by celebrity scents, but Billie Eilish may have broken a trend here. Gender neutral and leaning masculine. Billie Elish No. 1 and No. 2 are yin and yang. They would certainly layer well if you can't fall into either olfactory group, as they are completely opposite. Combined, would be the happy medium. A warm, woody vanilla.

Oooh this is nice! Very unisex, can easily picture anyone wearing this. It's a very soft cozy comforting fragrance. It reminds me of one of those "your skin but better" type of scents but much more unique. This smells a bit like Santal 33, but with a distinct black pepper and musk note to round it out; it's very light and there's a delicate subtle sweetness underneath that “Santal 33”-ish scent profile. Really really pretty.

Not my type of scent as I don't typically like to wear "your skin but better" type of scents and prefer super girly & sweet fragrances, but I do really like this!

Easy to Wear
I haven't been this surprised by a "celebrity" scent since SJP Stash. I'd call Eilish No. 2 "niche-adjacent" as it's definitely got a unique vibe that seems uncommon in mainstream fragrances. It's quite gender neutral, not too masculine or feminine. The light floral top notes are nice, and I enjoy the woody-musk drydown. It's got decent longevity - I can still smell it on my skin several hours later.

I tried a tester on an Ulta run, and realized that I needed to buy it when I was still sniffing my wrist with interest the rest of the day. It's easy to wear, and smells nice - kind of reminds me of recent Etat Libre D'Orange scents, which is no surprise since apparently Billie Eilish is herself an ELDO fan.

Affordable Unisex Gem
An easy, almost shower-clean woody scent with a subtle sweetness. It's a cool spicy scent, refreshing and clean, reminiscent of the kind of rain showers seen in the campaign imagery without being aquatic. There's a powdery quality to this as well, think "dusting powder" rather than "baby powder." If you're looking for a soft, everyday unisex gem at a reasonable price point, this is a very good option.

*Be warned, though: it's easy to burn yourself out on this one. For a couple of months this was my go-to, I doused myself in it almost every day, and it was my "can't think of what to wear" go-to, and now I never wear it because I used it so much I got sick of it. I'm very thankful I didn't spring for the full bottle, because right now it would be collecting dust. Try it, but if you buy it: tread lightly, so as not to burn yourself out.

All I smell is pickles. Even on my husband when he wore it. I don't know if it is the Palo Santo note but I can't unsmell it.

A little piney at first, but quickly becomes sharp and screechy and stays that way.

Smells exactly like a pine forest. So not me but I see the appeal. 2024 goal: find one damn occasion to wear this.

At first spray it’s dark and sweet, then it dries down to a cheap musk smell. Waste of money.
