Chocolate woodiness and cozy comfort
I have to admit, I've been waiting for a long time for this fragrance to come back in stock at Sephora. I spotted it at the beginning of my journey when I was searching for a vanilla scent and when I got the message it had come back, I had to jump on it.
At first spray, my mouth is already salivating and I'm blown away by the uniqueness of this perfume. I have never smelled anything remotely like it as of now. Chocolate is the star on my skin: I smell this deep, well-churned chocolate that's almost-dark-but-still-stays-in-the-milk-chocolate-territory. There's the vanilla that's right behind, giving everything a creamy, gourmand vibe with a slight sweetness. The vanilla combines with the hinoki wood into a woody dessert. It's so beautiful, I keep smelling myself (and I'm almost foaming at the mouth because it's that good). There's the musk in there that sticks out a bit and the powdery accord that does not resonate with me, which is why the perfume is not a 10/10 for me, but thankfully the other notes compensate theses aspects.
This perfume shines best during colder weather, although I do get why people would wear it during warmer times: it's never cloying, just sweet enough and light. Each time I smell it, I picture myself sitting on my couch with a blanket, a hot chocolate cup and a good book. There's a certain soothing aspect to it that makes me think it's a good night-time fragrance for relaxing. It's more feminine-leaning to me although men could pull it off (sprayed it on my boyfriend and he smelled quite good). I was also blown away by the price. For a scent that is this beautiful, I was expecting a steeper price, but no, it's more than reasonable! I think it's a must-have for any gourmand and vanilla lovers out there.
