Cool Water on a diet

The fragrance was on sale at Rossmann for €6. You can't go wrong with that - I thought.

On the paper strips: very intense and for me a better Cool Water Eau de Toilette.

Once applied, the wow effect was unfortunately quickly gone. Too bad.

I applied 10-15 sprays and after less than 10 minutes there was virtually nothing left to smell. Even the people around me only noticed the scent when they smelled me directly.

A real shame, as I think the fragrance is simply brilliant. Fresh, spicy, aquatic, great.

It was enough for sport. Nobody smelled it anyway

Conclusion: Great fragrance but H/S is unfortunately nothing. Clearly not to be expected at the price but could have been

"Herbs of Provence"...

That could also be the name of this great fragrance. Because there are at least 4 of them in here. Firstly, the "classic blue" with the aromatic-floral leaves and blossoms.
Then the mint, which evokes a cool freshness, in green-turquoise. The sage provides delicately bitter notes. Then there are the delicate flowers! Not those that carry a slightly penetrating sweetness, but those that are infused with a Mediterranean, rosy-jasmine-like, delicate floral note. Then there is the "woody" aspect, which is reminiscent of a light coastal forest. Cedars and cypresses, pines. Beach pines, plus fine mosses that form dense cushions on the north side of the trunks, "fertilized" by humid sea air.
Above an "ice-blue" sky and pleasant warmth from the sun! For me, today's "vintage treasure", which to my nose smells neither like Cool Water Eau de Toilette nor Green Irish Tweed. It's a unique, well-chosen blend of these "herbs de Provence", the mix of flowers, spices and "aquatic" marine notes including moss and wood. A little question in passing:... "How do they do it at such a low price?" ???? Almost "niche" for me ;-))

Aaaaaand...

... it's gone. That's pretty much how the fragrance of this remarkable work of perfumery art unfolds. It leaves me with a defiant "oh no." because it first turns the corner with this end-cool 90s vibe of we-haven't-reformulated-it-yet-for-cost-reasons-too-dead and invites you to rave. Analogous to cheap synthetic drugs, after the quick kick the air is out 6 moments later and you just want more. No problem with 6 silver discs, you just spray until the arthritis in your fingers dances polka.
On the other hand, I think to myself, dear friends of bedtime music, why don't you finally pull the ball pump out of the moose and put more oomph in the bottle and sell it for 10. I would buy it immediately. It's a good quickie for the beach or the gym.

Of course, this Creation d mystique is not a niche product. But perhaps it doesn't need to be. It's enough if it can trigger positive memories of a time full of fluff in your head.

And it does!

Woody Floral Musk

What can be said about this fragrance?
A cheap, classic, very well-known fragrance. Fresh, woody, slightly powdery, green, musky, littlebit aquatic, freshly washed clothes, green lawns and the beach comes to my mind.
Its strength and durability are also medium, a little better than cool water edt. In my opinion, the scent is 60% cool water, 40% green irish tweed, far from being as synthetic as CW, mutch more natural smelling.
Regardless, it has a very good smell, and I can only recommend it to those who want to get cheap copies of DCW and CGIT. Its good for spring and summer days. I think it's unnecessary to say more than that.
