When HP in Nag Champa..

...smoked, then we have Caline Rouge Intense!

I have both fragrances here, the HP in its original version and the current reformulation, then also the Rouge Intense.

For me, the "Rouge Intense" has this absolutely homely, relaxing note of Satya Sai Baba Nag Champa incense sticks ("the blue ones" ;)). Not much, just a hint, but it's clearly perceptible to me and I love this completely new nuance in an HP Dupe and I would even buy it from HP immediately!

I really can't do anything with the other dupes, I even see them as an insult to the good old and the new HP.

But this fragrance is by far the best aftershave I've ever had the pleasure of sniffing and smells really good.

Doesn't last long on me, but so what - €7 and a big bottle, just bathe in it several times a day... ;)
Top price/performance. Absolute recommendation!

Smells more expensive than it is!

What do drugstore dupes usually smell like? No matter how pleasant the fragrance notes seem at first, most fragrance twins always have a certain artificial, synthetic aftertaste. Not with the perfume "Rouge intense" by Câline! This fragrance won me over immediately. My nose smells nothing like "Hypnotic Poison" by Dior.

But even apart from its similarity to Hypnotic Poison, the fragrance just works well. It is a deep, very feminine, warm and embracing fragrance. Definitely a fragrance for going out in the evening, but also for a Netflix&Chill evening at home.

Value for money 10/10.

Nuts and almond notes: A hint of fresh plum

Last week, on a whim, I gave my mother this perfume for her 'Yılbaşı'
Since we often share and use perfumes together, I had the opportunity to try it out myself today.

When I first sprayed it on, the powdery almond note enveloped me a little too intensely, but the 'fresh plum' quickly compensated for this.
Unfortunately, vanilla and rose dominate a little too much at the beginning, which briefly takes away my enjoyment of this fragrance. However, this heaviness subsides within the first 15 minutes or so and makes way for a more harmonious fragrance experience.

Overall, a very pleasant fragrance unfolds, even if it is still a little too powdery for my taste. But given the price, that doesn't bother me too much.

The sillage leaves something to be desired, but the longevity is quite satisfactory.

On the whole, I would have liked a little less vanilla and powderiness in this fragrance and a little more plum instead.
Nevertheless, I liked it, and most importantly for me... my mother really likes it.
And in the end, that's what really counts!

Outrageously cheap dupe

The Rouge Intense is very similar to the Hypnotic Poison Eau de Toilette. Apart from that, however, it is simply an incredibly good perfume for its price.

Almond and plum create a gourmand-sweet opening. The heart note then becomes more powdery and towards the drydown it becomes more vanilla and a little creamy. I would really say that a progression can be perceived here, even if not in the same way as in the original. Overall, the Rouge Intense is more powdery and creamy than the Hypnotic Poison Eau de Toilette.

This perfume is particularly suitable for going out and as a fragrance for a cool evening. It can certainly be worn more often in fall and winter. However, it should be left for a few months in summer at the latest. It is too heavy for that. It definitely comes across as very feminine, but is easy to wear regardless of age.

Longevity and sillage would be average for a designer fragrance. However, when you consider that the fragrance can cost as little as €4 instead of €6 when on offer, the price-performance ratio is even better. Above all, it must be added that the fragrance also smells many times more expensive than €4-6.

As a woman, you can confidently buy this fragrance blind, even if you are not yet familiar with Hypnotic Poison Eau de Toilette.

Amazing Dupe for Dior Hypnotic Poison

This perfume smells great. It's my new favourite autumn/winter perfume. It's slightly milder than Spirit of Cashmere Musk, which is also a dupe for Hypnotic Poison. Since I have both at home, I can compare them well. Câline Rouge Intense doesn't smell as acrid and soapy as Spirit of Cashmere Musk, so it's probably closer to the original. Another big plus: It lasts forever, I can still smell it by the end of the day when I spray it in the morning. In any case, Câline Rouge Intense is a great alternative to the expensive original perfume. It's nice that affordable dupes are always being designed for classic perfumes.
