A bizarre one
Of the many perfumes I've had the opportunity to test, this is one of the most unconventional fragrances. It took me a while to get down to it and write as honest an opinion as possible, as it is a very 'fluid' fragrance - I changed my mind about it quite often.
The nose behind this fragrance is the renowned Italian perfumer Luca Maffei. Therefore, you can only expect something extremely original.
The fragrance, despite its Italian origin, for my nose delivers the atmosphere of the old Russian empire and power under the tsars, in the best sense of these words. It is very refined and luxurious, appealing to really few.
The bottle in which this interesting blend is encased is truly amazing. Those absolutely divine gold embellishments leave nothing to be desired, giving the impression of a richly decorated italian- russian theatre. And that's how this scent actually smell on the whole.
The combination of spices, herbs and citrus creates an imitation of a very well-kept garden in a beautiful sunny location. It's not fruity at all though. The most interesting thing here is definitely the eponymous 'niera'-the cannabis. It gives everything else a sense of bottomless depth that excites us to the limit. The rest of the notes, despite the fact that they mix quite a bit with no discernible individual ones, form a beautiful base. They provide that dry wood and warm amber, making it quite warm in the end.
The fragrance is very sexy and sensual, but it is important to bear in mind that in its originality it may not appeal to everyone, certainly no more to 'regular' noses. It is a niche fragrance for a reason. It's not strong but more of a skin scent, better for the colder days of autumn and winter, in special cases cool spring evenings. It's not long-lasting for EDP and sillage is quite poor. It also can get tiring so be cautious. Overall, as I mentioned it's a quite unconventional fragrance and its high price is off-putting, but still worth a sample.
