The apocalypse is canceled
They told us not to go over the mountains, only desolation and death await you there. They told us to stay here in the valley, life is hard but safe. They told us to be content with what you have here, even if it is little and meagre. They told us not to strive for more, that is the road to ruin.

They said all that, over and over again, but I couldn't listen to them. The valley here is too narrow, the horizon too close, always reachable in a few hours, without a secret. So I set off, over passes and through narrow valleys, an arduous journey, but now I stand at the foot of the mountains and feel the cool wind blowing sharply from the heights at my back.

And it is desolate here, but not empty. The trees are black, but resin flows beneath the charred bark, and a tentative green is showing between the bare earth. Smoke drifts across the land, but the air is warm and aromatic. The fresh wind from the mountains fights against it, but after a few more steps it fades and the warmth surrounds me. I sit with my back leaning against a charred tree trunk and even my heavy, coarse leather becomes miraculously soft and gentle. I look into the distance, towards the horizon, and for the first time it seems infinitely far away and mysterious.

----------------

To be honest, I'm not quite sure why Atomico XXVI automatically conjures up post-apocalyptic images, but they are always there. Images like Mad Max, The Road or Fallout. It's probably just the name, because the fragrance has nothing apocalyptic about it.

It starts very peppery and there are also fresh notes, but it is not entirely clear whether they are vetiver or cedar. On the other hand, there are warm resins and sweet vanilla (fortunately not too much and not too sweet). This is a very nice contrast, which is slightly different every time you wear it. Sometimes the sweet-resinous predominates, sometimes the peppery-fresh. Soon creamy, spicy sandalwood comes in, not Mysore (no glue), but not generic either. The vanilla becomes a little clearer and amber is added. For me, it shouldn't be any sweeter than this, but the blend is perfect. The leather note only comes through towards the base. It is a clean, soft leather, slightly creamy and spicy and there is also a hint of licorice, the latter slightly burnt.

Which perhaps brings us to the apocalypse: the smoke. It runs through the entire fragrance, still relatively faint at the beginning, then increasingly perceptible, then a little less in the base. However, it is not a dense, black smoke, but a rather light and gentle one. In the middle of the trail, I briefly have the feeling of a blown-out match, but it doesn't last long.

So the apocalypse has been canceled for now and it won't come in '26 either, because I already have something else planned. Atomico is a very warm, cozy autumn and winter fragrance with enough depth not to bore, but also not so much to strain. Therefore, it can be worn all day (it lasts for 10-12 hours), and if you put it on your scarf, it will last for a few days.

Atomic is also different
Nothing had been the same for about two years. The last war resulted in the almost complete, but mentally definitely complete, annihilation of humanity. Whatever caused this effect, the chickens rose up and were now in power. Led by their cruel, disrespectful to other animals leader: Pollita. She had also seen to it that the humans - now on the intelligence level of amoebas - were crammed into cages, she was out for revenge. Her favorite human, Monsieur T., even had to lay eggs. But how could it have come to this? Well, it all started with Atomico XXVI...

Unsuspecting, our perfumohero sprayed on a fragrance two years ago, which was marketed under the label Cutuli. Immediately it started peppery on resinous-soft amber bed, even some vanilla nuances were perceptible. In addition, the sandalwood already let its creamy spirit rise in the fragrance here. This mixture of on the one hand lovely notes and on the other hand spicy-hot pepper led to an opportunistic scent structure; sometimes it was creamier, sometimes more peppery. But the latter as if captured under a resinous-creamy layer.
This scent was quite potent, it was windy, and our perfumohero traveled frequently to England for work, occasionally to the States. Something about the home-grown scent spread, and then combined with the Buccaneers' Super Bowl win, led to this disaster. All over the world there were devastating explosions and releases of radiation that caused humans to degenerate and chickens to rise up the food chain. Especially the leader, the purple Polly who was cackling and chasing worms at the time. Shortly after, she ordered her chicken folk to arrest all dangerous flowers like the assassin Melissa2 and let them dry up in the desert. So there were only the chickens left and they loved Atomico XXVI, they dosed themselves with it daily.

Sure, the chickens adored the scent, it reminded them of the day they were liberated, and so Polly issued the following motto to her people, "cluck! Pick Pick bwoack, gagaack, gacker FvSpee gacker, Bwoack!"
Her people erupted into frenetic cackling! They praised Atomico XXVI. The chickens especially appreciate the development of atomic creation.

The pepper fell namely in the course in the background, resinous-woody notes took over the lead, the cedar seemed sublime-elegant, became a bit ethereal by the incense and complemented the sandalwood, which successively put back the creamy facet. The chickens loved this because it reminded them of clean wood. Quite diametrically opposed to the battery cages in which many had otherwise been crammed.
Proliferating vetiver often grew in the chicken towns and so the chickens revelled in freedom, vetiver was for them the scent of freedom. For in the past, they saw the lush greenery held back only behind barred fences. That's how this instinctive longing arose. In any case, Atomico XXVI also offered this vetiver, even if only in an extra role and more as if carried by the wind than intense.

"Polly! Polly you lazy chicken, wake up! I need eggs for my omelette! But shoo shoo!"
"G....Acker....", scowling Pollita woke up in your outdoor enclosure, laid some eggs and realized this chicken utopia was merely a dream. Not quite giving up yet, she noticed that our perfumohero had put on Atomico XXVI. Should she put a lighter on him? hold a lighter to him? Then again, it was almost 3pm; it's a wonder he was still wearing pants, he'd notice her attempt right away. Especially since she couldn't hold a lighter. In a pinch, Melissa2 would have long since misappropriated it anyway on her Melissa train to convert foreign flower peoples to the martial Melissa faith. Pollita sighed; one may still dream. So she consoled herself with a 43er with milk; because Atomico XXVI smells very similar.

Atomico XXVI is remarkable and remains from the passage described above further diverse. The sweetness remains but after hours penetrate leathery-acting chords forward, but they are rather gentle and elegant than tart. For myself, the fragrance is similar to the 43 with milk just too milky-sweet, yet a fine fragrance was released here by fashion designer Cutuli. Overall, a finely woven, not too complex resin-wood fragrance.
