Sorry, but I'm out... too expensive and too expensive!
Many thanks to Nick for the bottling of EO N°1 Pure Parfum :-) To be honest, I've never tried Ensar Oud and I'm basically out of the price range. But you can try it out and see if it convinces me with a "WOW effect". There definitely wasn't one. Yes, it certainly doesn't smell cheap and is of high quality, but overall it's not my world. I let so many people sniff it today and really NOBODY liked the scent. That's where my final rating comes out best in the end. The longevity is really good at around 11 to 12 hours, but the sillage was not effervescent, although not bad.
The top note starts off very animalic and stalky with mandarins, bergamot and orange grape sugar. Bibergeil creates a blatant animalism, which is accompanied by some lavender. The heart note remains very animalic with cowshed, oud and civet. I find the rose aromas rather restrained. The base smells very oriental, leathery and smoky with eagle wood, tobacco and incense.
I still have a few bottlings of Ensar Oud and I'm afraid that I'm going to end up getting my face kicked in with my reviews...I hope I'm wrong!
