Another difficult case
Many thanks to Nick for the bottling of Chypre Sultan :-) Unfortunately, I'm not really happy with this one either. Once again, this is a fragrance that overwhelms my nose. At least it has a strong shelf life of 10 to 12 hours. The sillage is also successful so far.
The top note starts off very animalic thanks to castoreum. Yuzu adds a certain citric note to the fragrance, giving it a chypre-like scent. The heart note smells floral, green and earthy like lily of the valley. Oud underpins this earthiness and creates woody and spicy notes. I like the base the best here. It smells very excitingly of green tea and hay.
Unfortunately, I'm not happy with this one either. I wonder if one day something from Ensar Oud will emerge that will be able to wow me.
