Interesting Facts
FCUK - what seems offensive at first is the abbreviation for the British fashion brand "French Connection United Kingdom". The company produces contemporary, high-quality clothing and accessories to match every clientele's tastes.

Behind "FCUK" is the fashion designer Stephen Marks. Starting in 1969, the founder initially created tailor-made (and expensive) women's collections that were sold under his name. However, Marks realized he could widen its client base by lowering prices. Therefore, from 1972 onwards, a completely new collection for women was developed with different materials, followed by a first men's series in 1976; this is why 1972 is considered the birth of "French Connection United Kingdom". After the first fashion series for women, men and children had established themselves on the market, accessories such as shoes, watches, glasses, and fragrances, then a range of furniture and home accessories.

"FCUK" is considered the main brand of the company, which accounts for the majority of sales. However, to better reach other target groups, the label also sells its creations under "Great Plains" (basic fashion for women) and "You Must Create (YMC)" for the more outlandish women's and men's segment.

"FCUK" is now represented worldwide in more than 30 countries and over 130 stores. The label has also been licensed in numerous other countries. The assortment is sold through wholesalers and retailers, as well as online.
