Paperwhite vanilla meets citruses and spice, mild and agreeable
My sixth sampling from the initial collection from Galleria Parfums is Moving Times, inspired by the old world meeting the new, and it largely achieves that result via a mix of citruses, spices, tonka, and vanilla. The blend comes off like a paperwhite vanilla, semi-powdery, done fresh herbs, spices, and some citrus. I like this subgenre of fragrance as long as it does not lean too powdery, and Moving Times is in a comfortable spot, nor is it too sweet, as the tonka/vanilla base is very much reserved and the sort of fresh/spicy/minty/herbal top and heart are more central.
As with the rest of the line, Moving Times is priced at $205 for 100ml at extrait concentration, and I regard this as a reasonable price. And, like most of the other offerings from the house, it’s overall fairly agreeable and high-performing. This could easily be an everyday scent for men or women for a variety of situations and seasons.
