A cinnamon candy "bomb"
Fall gourmands are some of my favorites, but I'm SO picky about them: the spice blend/ratio has to be JUST right, to avoid veering into "choking cinnamon"/craft store candle category.
For me, the opening of this is like you left a giant bag of cinnamon gummy bears in a hot car - they melted a little, so the smell is intensely amplified. Within a minute or so, this softens - and that's all you get. No bakery goods, crust, or creamy notes. No other spices to round things out.
If you love cinnamon hearts or cinnamon gummy bears, you may enjoy this. But to me, it was too much cinnamon and not much else.
