Naturalistic Wildflowers
Top Notes: Rose, Freesia, Mandarin Blossom.

Heart Notes: Honeysuckle, Orchid, Honey, Beeswax.

Base Notes: Coconut, Vanilla, Musk.

Along with Queen, Queen of Hearts, and Avon Pure Gold, Pure Honey has been the fourth successful blind buy for me of very accessibly priced fragrances.

This is a very fresh and rather seductive scent albeit slightly synthetic. I expected it to be somewhat heavy and cloying, but it is not heavy or cloying AT ALL. This fragrance is lightly sweet but not in a gourmand way. It reminds me more of the naturally sweet scent of wildflowers than of anything else. Fresh, fresh, fresh wild flowers is what I think of most whence smelling this on myself. One could spray with abandon and not worry about over doing it. This is as close to the natural smell of lightly sweet wildflowers as it probably can be.

Pure Honey does not have a great deal of projection, but then again wildflowers do not either. Longevity is moderate, and sillage is mild, but Pure Honey is really lovely for the time it lives on my skin. It is the sort of scent that draws people into you and makes them ask you "what is that delicious fragrance you are wearing?!" followed by "where can I find it?!" I really only get "honey" in the deep dry down, and by then it is a very gentle honey, sweet but not at all cloying. If you want FRESH, lightly sweet and gentle, then this is a fragrance to try.

An added bonus is the adorable bottle. The triangular shape of the bottle feels a bit odd in one's hand compared to other parfum bottles, thus making spraying a bit awkward, but it is an adorable bottle nonetheless with a little bee on it. I can truly imagine this fragrance attracting bees. It is that naturalistic.

Once again, this fragrance is in no way heavy or cloying. It is lightly sweet, fresh, and highly reminiscent of the scent of live wildflowers. It whispers, "come closer....." I am very pleased with this fragrance despite it being a "celebrity fragrance." Pure Honey smells so fresh and lightly sweet that it makes me wonder if a much younger woman than I should be wearing this. It is lovely in any case. Best for Spring and Summer.

Directly into the beehive
"Pure Honey" sounds just delicious. If you like honey, you should have no problem with this scent. It brings honey into a new direction, distancing from the sweet end product and shining some light on the production process.
We meet Barry B. Benson on a sunny spring day in the early morning. The crystal clear blue sky and the fresh air promise a perfect day to collect some pollen. Barry gets ready. His beehive hangs in an area where are big variety of flowers are growing. He can't really decide where to fly to first. Yellow freesias, red roses, sweet honeysuckles. So he decided to get there one by one and pick some pollen here and there and try all the sweet nectars. After finishing collecting, he heads right back into the beehive. The smell of his home is everywhere. Barry turns to his own personal wall of honeycombs to deliver his pollen. He hopes his pollen will later make the best honey of all and he is happy to fly out collecting the next day already.
Thanks to Barry's eagerness the scent is deeper than just "sweet honey out of the jar". Somehow I have some problems with it. In general it's far from being bad, but this rose disturbs me much. In the foreground is this very floral rose mixed with the truly waxy beeswax. Honey as such is rather subtly sensible. The scent is a bit too unsweet for me. It's a true gourmand, but the fresh floral elements make it a bit dry. The honey doesn't really flow, it's more viscous. Right now, I don't really know if I like it or not.
For a celebrtiy scent "Pure Honey" is something new as it spares fruits completely and puts the emphasis on a special combination with the theme of honey that is somehow half-baked to me. I can't really sense the base, maybe I just don't even get there because the scent fades already after a short amout of time. Or my nose just wants to fade out this rose. When I think of "Tonka" by Réminiscence (a delicious sweet honey scent), "Pure Honey" loses completely. Kim Kardashian's scents are not bad, however they all lack something I find superiorly elaborated in other scents. The flacon could be a part of a beehive itself, although the principal concept seems copied from Illamasqua, but bee Barry on the bottle is a gem.
