Quickly decided
The needle-like medical tincture with which today's candidate opens reminds me involuntarily of one or the other euphorium Brooklyn. Quieter, though, but already quite close to it in terms of content. There is a trace of wood in the background.
Soon, however, the medicine retreats to the skin and after barely a quarter of an hour I am greeted by a very good and always welcome acquaintance! The sweet honey smoke like from '03.Apr.1968' by Rundholz, from Tom Ford's 'Sahara Noir' or, with restriction, Norma Kamali's 'Incense' and 'Calling all Angels' by April Aromatics.
After he first just cautiously looks around the corner, his share of the action grows steadily and is omnipresent within the second hour. Richly sweet, but full of character - and with a lot of accompaniment, because there are various wooden and bitter spicy ingredients floating around. And although I have a hard time with some of the vendor's claims ("dry wine", leather, moss"?), there is undoubtedly a (natural fragrance-typical) rich, complementary bouquet, which gives me great pleasure. Nevertheless, the honey smoke is in the centre and therefore - similar to the Ford - the abundance of information is easily misleading. Only in the course of the afternoon does the boss give the colleagues a little more room for sweetness.
With the second paragraph, of course, everything has been said, because all of them take top positions in my personal fragrance cosmos.
And because I can't think of what should be worse in 'Sola Laudanum' than in the mentioned references and because it is also a natural scent (which actually sticks like real honey!), there's now simply a quick ten.
I thank Fluxit for the sample.
