Dewdrops in the grass
Monastery gardens contain centuries-old knowledge, which monks wisely transformed into tinctures and waters as early as the Middle Ages. Their "products" were so much in demand that the first monastery pharmacies were established.
Many of them still exist today, albeit in a slightly newer guise.
This is also the case in Provence, where "Le Couvent des Minimes", as the company "Le Couvent Maison de Parfum - Le Couvent des Minimes", still sells this old knowledge at more than moderate prices.
I have already tested two of their scents - "Eau Aimable" and "Eau des Missions" - and I also have a half-liter bottle of the last one at home. They have enchanted me Since I have the need for very light scents in between, I was of course also very curious how I would like "Eau Sereine" now.
To make a long story short:
A clear, lively little brook splashes through green natural meadows where dew drops glitter like little diamonds in the first sunlight.
The steady murmuring of the water causes a feeling of deep calm and satisfaction.
In the course of the day, the sun's rays warm up nature, so that the well-known aromas from the monastery gardens gently and lastingly impregnate the air.
Bergamot and tangerine bring light yet invigorating freshness, which is complemented by lavender scent.
Now, lavender not only has a fragrance of flowers; the wood also has its own spicy aroma, which it generously releases. Thus the contradictory properties of lavender scent, the simultaneously calming and stimulating effect, are gently yet intensively woven into this delicate scent.
Sun-drenched cedars add their resinous, slightly velvety fragrance nuances, closing a light ball of scent that vibrates and shimmers softly.
Thus "Eau Sereine" creates exactly the feeling for which its name stands: Cheerfulness and satisfaction It invites us to linger in the moment and take a deep breath. It relaxes and conjures a fine smile on the face, relaxes the often unconsciously tense features.

"Eau Sereine" is not a great perfumer's achievement; but it is lovingly and carefully produced: so entirely in the spirit of the old monastic medicine!
