Pippi, Pippi, Pippi...
Aga, the woman behind Le Frag, takes inspiration in the creation of fragrances from fictional characters from cartoons, movies, fairy tales, etc....
In the case of Pippilotta, the source of inspiration is:
"Pippilotta Virtualia Rolgardinia Succiamenta Efrasilla daughter of Captain Efraim Longstocking, formerly terror of the seas, now negro king."
Does the name ring a bell? Come on, I think you've all seen that TV show about the adventures of the little girl with the orange braids who lives with a horse and a little monkey.
That's right.
That's right, Pippi Longstocking.
The fragrance totally reflects her rebellious character.
It is brash, impactful: it asserts itself with character and does not go unnoticed.
Orange blossom and jasmine come on like a slap in the face: it feels like a bouquet full of white flowers with a characteristic indolic scent (which I perceive not overwhelmingly) under my nose.
The floral, amber and slightly vanilla structure is balanced by leather, which in the background lends character without ever covering up the rest.
The first 3 to 4 hours the projection is tremendously high, impactful, but after that it wanes and the whole composition rounds out, smoothes out, and becomes very creamy, creating a sweetish bubble around the wearer.
Gooood job Matos.
