On the trail of a medieval battle
I'll start this review with a situation you should put yourself in to better understand the progression of the fragrance:

We are in the Middle Ages, a time associated with great battles and castles. The image of a knight in shining armor with a sword immediately pops into my head. This is where I would like to begin my journey through this fragrance:

The top note describes the silence that prevails when two armies face each other. Resinous notes emerge, fresh from the surrounding coniferous forests. These are immediately joined by mineral notes that represent the stony terrain. The flowers are only a small part of the whole picture; these are located on the grassy landscape between the warriors.

The battle cry sounds. Everyone rushes into battle, swords clash and the shouting of the knights can be heard. There is also a waft of smoke over the battlefield, represented by the incense. The blood flows in streams across the land and spreads a metallic smell. The scent lingers for a long time.

After the battle, the valley becomes quiet. Woody notes take over. The fragrance comes to a gentle end. What remains, however, are the impressions of massive violence and brutality, which are not soon forgotten.

My personal impression:

I was looking for an incense fragrance that was not at all similar to the typical church incense. So I tried out a few until I finally landed on this one. It immediately stood out from the others and won me over with its metallic notes and resins, which won me over very quickly.

For those looking for an exceptional incense fragrance, this is certainly a good candidate.

An ancestral batte
A fragrance that enhances one of my favorite notes: incense.
The opening is cold, pungent, icy, and then brings out an incense that is not ecclesiastical but which I would define as majestic, as if it were a giant to be contemplated, a magnificent knight clad in metallic armour. It almost seems like you can taste the ferrous taste in your mouth, almost bloody.
In my opinion, the use of ambergris amplifies all this scent which gradually subsides thanks to the woody background.
More than a fragrance, I would define it as an olfactory experience. It certainly makes itself felt and has an excellent persistence, but I consider it very intimate and personal to wear, for me during cold winter days or summer nights with the breeze that amplifies it even more. plus the aroma.
Truly wonderful.
