Do they need you? Are you better than the normal one? Are you worth the extra cost? Honest opinion from a Pure Malt friend!
Hello everyone,
today it's about the A*Men Pure Malt - Création 2013 and I would like to say 1 or 2 things about it!
Here is the link to my review of the normal Pure Malt https://www.parfumo.de/Parfums/mugler/AMen_Pure_Malt/rezensionen/265850 . And you can read there quite quickly that even today, as a niche friend, I find it "very good" and even almost too good for a designer. It has a great performance at niche level, has rough edges (even if it is still pleasing) and it has something mysterious + mystical about it, like an aura that surrounds you. I know all of the Pure series from Mugler and the A*Men Pure Malt is the best - in my opinion.
Over the years 2011 - 2021 I had 3 bottles that I also emptied and since I've always had a few (!) fragrances over the years, you notice very quickly - yes, Benny apparently liked it very much.
I already know the A*Men Pure Malt - Création 2013 from back then and it was already expensive when it was still available + it was hard to get. But today I came across one purely by chance and I discreetly regret that I didn't have one back then....
Why?
It seems fuller, richer, stronger and more concentrated and the sillage in the first hour is ... let's call it "kinky" in a positive sense. As I said, it is as intense in the first hour as that of Interlude 53 or Oud Satin Mood Extrait de Parfum and those who know both know very well what kind of monsters they are...
And it also seems more sophisticated and that the focus has been placed on fewer ingredients... - sounds strange, but we have the whisky, wood, patchouli and the amber, each noticeable and that's great and it has that noticeable "COOLNESS" that the normal A*Men Pure Malt also has, only much stronger and I LOVE that.
How is it received:
Then as now really 1a. It somehow never becomes uncool, annoying, disturbing - a real go to scent all these years! And the women's reaction to this version feels even stronger than the normal one. I can't say exactly why, but it somehow seems more mature, more seasoned, more mysterious...
On the point of durability:
Like the normal one, it lasts very well and I won't mention differences of 30 minutes here ;)
at over 9h and sometimes significantly more, it fits either way.
To the questions in the heading...
Need... , absolutely no, BUT let me put it this way, if you know and like A*Men Pure Malt like I do and would like to know what is possible, then yes!
Better than the normal one..., somehow you have to say yes!
Worth the extra charge .... that's really difficult to say. Nowadays used A*Men Pure Malt (depending on the fill level) cost around 100€ (quasi 1:1), if you find one in a similar price range, then go for it. It's worth the experience!
(My opinion)
If I really wasn't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!
And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you read this review, LG the Benny
