A cuckoo's egg
The fact that I tested Alien Flora Futura at all is due to my experience with blind tests. I had noticed that I was enthusiastic about a fragrance of the brand Agent Provocateur, from which I would knowingly not have touched any more fragrance, because I found all the tested ones hideous. It's the same theoretically with the aliens, who in my nose are not only horrible, no, even worse, horrible, unbearable. But I learned something new: Thanks to my agent provocateur experience, I tested Alien Flora Futura.
with great courage
And that was a good thing, because I like Alien Flora Futura. I like it so much that I have saved a remaining bottle on an auction platform.

Already in the beginning I am surrounded by surprisingly friendly, fresh flowers with a fine, natural sweetness. But typical for me with Mugler's scents, I can't clearly assign the flowers. The freshness obviously comes from a citrus fruit, most likely I smell mandarin.
Already in the first minutes I notice a somewhat more artificial note, which I also find to be flowery.
Until then it is for me a very interesting scent, unusual, like many Muglers, even if I do not like them all. Alien Flora Futura is not a sweet floral scent that you have smelled a thousand times before, but this mixture of familiar and strange flowers has a very special charm.

As a teenager I was lucky enough to smell a flower of the Queen of the Night. She smelled divine and incredibly intense! Even though I can no longer evoke this scent experience in detail today, I still think that I would remember if this or a very similar scent came under my nose again.
Here stands Queen of the Night in the pyramid, but I don't recognize her
After all, it doesn't matter. I like Alien Flora Futura even without it reminding me of the scent of a queen of the night.
The sweet floweriness remains for a few hours, partly familiar, partly strange, but always soft and friendly, while now some powder is added in the background.
Now I notice a very specific note, which I know from another Mugler fragrance and which I haven't smelled anywhere else. It's just a lot more subtle than that. I recognize a hint of the green-spicy portion of aura, EDP.
This note remains in the background, while the base develops more and more powdery without becoming stuffy. But I don't recognize Sandel or Amber. I'd rather bet on a little subtle heliotrope.
With good will, the powder's a little woody. The sweetness becomes more discreet towards the end.

Personally, I can't complain about the shelf life. About 7 hours is already completely o.k., I think. Also the Sillage is at least in the beginning quite strong and retreats only towards the base.
At the end there is a powdery residue with a slight flowery touch and a hint of Aura EDP.

Why do I like an alien? The question is simply answered: Because this alien has nothing, in my opinion nothing at all, in common with the other aliens.

And so this Flanker comes under a misleading name for me. He seems like a cuckoo's egg to me: That's when Aura smuggled an egg into the alien's nest.

So far all aliens known to me have aroused my interest .

The Flankers carried the alien DNA - and yet they were independent.

The flora is already independent, but the relationship to the Classic is quite far away.
I did not recognize the affiliation to the Alien Clan without further ado.
If it hadn't been in the significant bottle, I wouldn't have been able to match it.

That doesn't matter in principle, but Futura is unfortunately somewhat interchangeable.
It is not a bad scent - very nice and friendly even.
Somewhat citric, somewhat flowery, somewhat creamy.
But also something indifferent.

I certainly don't have to smell "special" every day, but a small recognition value gives me pleasure.
But I am also a friend of often much criticized "nice" scents.
That's how I want to smell sometimes.

But with Futura I cannot perceive a clear attitude or direction.
Maybe it's in the future?

Discreet, gentle and suitable for everyday use
I have to confess, I like it.

After Eau Sublime, which had unfortunately met me like a more or less loveless copy of previous representatives (a mix of Eau Extraordinaire and Eau Luminescente) and has not really impressed me, now seems in the laboratory Mugler but again some imagination to have come to light.

With Flora Futura we have to do (once again) with a more discreet, fresher Alien. The alien-typical DNA is not to be denied, but yet Flora Futura shows itself rather finely flattering, gentle and tame.
It welcomes freshly lemony, however, the lemony does not sting or prick, it resonates already in the first minute something queen of the night, which gives the whole a fresh, but still floral touch and a certain fascination.
The scent progression is now nothing exciting, basically only the Queen of the Night becomes a little more intense, while the citrus disappears in the shadow of the base, which also makes itself felt relatively soon, and that remains so until the fragrance finally dissipates after a couple of hours.
Typical Alien somehow, just from the fragrance itself not too typical.
Like already Eau Extraordinaire (my absolute favorite!), which also carries the Alien DNA in itself, but in a gentle and more discreet way than all the others.

To durability and sillage:
I am yes generally the opinion, less often "pft" can more.... A spray puff in the neck at the hairline, and for me ists perfect. One can smell so it indeed on me, but it does not hang penetrating in rooms in which I was.
In the bathroom, for example, you can smell it easily when I have just sprayed, after 5-10min with permanently tilted window, the touch is gone again.
But certainly depends on how many Sprüherchens and just whether window tilted or everything tight.
My colleagues does not seem to bother, one hung me downright with the nose in the neck *laugh*, others said quite curious, that smells fine, what is that then.
But just, I am very sparing with it.
More I would not want to take as a fan of the discreet fragrance at once, I prefer to put again ifs after about 4-5Std is fizzled out.
Durability is... mediocre, I would say now. A wash with soap it holds out, although iss then already attenuated but you can still perceive.

Only the baby pink of the bottle is not so my ... But what the heck, what's in it counts. (;

Back to the Future
Voweg: After I like the classic Alien very much and have been thinking for some time to buy another, spring and summer version of it, I decided to test 2 newer Aliens (the other is Alien Eau Extraordinaire). I tested Alien Flora Futura mainly because of the interesting scent pyramid, the queen of the night and the alien base. The latter is also consistently noticeable from start to finish, but only for say a third of the entire scent. The other two thirds I could describe now on the basis of the individual notes (citrus lemon only slightly especially at the beginning, Queen of the Night barely, sandalwood and amber not perceptible at all), but I find it much better to describe them with two other fragrances; one is from Jean Paul Gaultier Classique, the other Douglas Seathalasso.

For me, this fragrance is a mix of these three perfumes, which I find all quite good individually, but together, let's say, unfavorably combined in a single fragrance since they all go in a completely different direction. The seaweed-sand-beach scent Seathalosso is a beautiful, relaxing scent on its own, reminiscent of sandcastle building, ocean walks or a visit to the pool. Classique is, in my opinion, a very austere-floral-intense smelling perfume for women with a slightly artificial-synthetic note and finally Alien is an extraordinary, heavy, slightly cool, radiant, typical Mugler fragrance. Taken all together, these completely different fragrance characters somehow don't fit, even after repeated testing and smelling, an unharmonious overall impression remains. And even the Queen of the Night, which I like so much in Naomi Campell's eponymous first fragrance, does not dare to come out at all.

Alien Eau Extraordinaire, on the other hand, is also an Alien-heavy fragrance, but much more harmonious, fresher, fruity, more radiant and a successful composition with new notes and proven Alien base, so I'll probably go for this version, after me Alien Flora Futura now but rather disappointed or is unwearable for me.

Back to space
Don't leave me!
And yet
i'll see you in the end Your veil of a queen of the night,
so beautiful,
so tender,
so volatile!
You're an alien >br /> in a world of people You come,
You go,
i'd like to have held you! But because you bloom in the future,
my presence is no place for your flowers I'm looking at the orbit,
maybe your ether is circulating there Too far away.
Too alienated.

Nothing new and special from the future: this scent is pleasant, but a little poor, also synthetic. The product doesn't justify the price
