Boring
I've been reading a lot of criticism of Mugler lately since she was acquired by L'Oreal. The scents appear to be flatter, shelf life appears to be considerably shorter and the originality of the latest scents appears to be below par. Personally, I can never do much with this kind of criticism. A scent is nice or not for me.
I am not a fan of the Mugler fragrances myself. Have Aura in my collection. Barely worn and eventually gave it away.
I was very curious about this Elixir. The fragrance notes do not seem special. But you expect an intense and special scent from Mugler and from an Elixir. I sprayed this scent full of anticipation. I had to sniff twice before I could perceive the smell. It opens with a recognizable vanilla note and white flowers. The vanilla continues to develop and the white flowers disappear to the back. I couldn't think of what this scent reminded me of. And suddenly I recognized Good Fortune by Viktor & Rolf. The vanilla and white flowers are one to one.
It's a very light scent. The staying power on my skin is also below par.
The scent represents a lot except what an Elixir and the perfume house Mugler stands for. It's boring, unoriginal, bad sillage and shelf life. But no bad smell anywhere.
Unfortunately, I recognized the criticisms I've been reading so much lately since the takeover about Mugler...
