Synthetic litchi and rose fragrance!
I have a problem with mixing original perfumes and their flankers. This is another one of those mistakes. I wanted the EDP, but got the EDT instead. Oh well, I was still curious to try on this litchi and rose perfume.
It's a soft, feminine scent. Sweet, with a good amount of florals. The tart and fresh bergamot introduces us to a synthetic litchi scent. I had hopes the litchi accord in this would be photorealistic because it's such a nice delicate fruit with a special accord, but it wasn't the case. There's this synthetic sharp scent coming from the top notes. After a few minutes, the synthetic aspect fades a little bit in favor of a more natural rose accord. Not the mature one (often found in powdery and mature perfumes), but a soft, young and fresh rose. I think the magnolia makes it softer and allows the rose to shine without the powdery aspect I find so often with rose perfumes. Virginia cedar and musk finally mingle with the rose and give it a nice woody, grounded aspect. The overall drydown is slightly sweet (with a certain background tartness) and woody: it's really warm and comforting.
It's an overall soft fragrance for when you want to wear something that's not too overpowering but still want to smell good. Unfortunately, the synthetic note has become much to prominent to my nose and I will not be keeping this perfume in my collection.
