A quite successful and, for me, unisex fragrance
Now I'm looking at an original manufacturer's sample of Le Deuxième Parfum. I would describe the fragrance as quite exciting and successful and I think that it is definitely unisex. At around 6 hours, the longevity is quite good and the sillage is also okay so far.
The top note initially reminds me of Šljivovica from Croatia. It smells of plums and somewhat alcoholic with a hint of oak barrels. In the heart note, the Peru balsam really comes to the fore and doesn't leave the fragrance at all. This also creates sweetish notes of prunes, ribwort syrup and some cinnamon, peat and tar. Light floral notes of ylang-ylang and orange blossom resonate in the base. There is also a woody note in the background, which reminds me of oud.
This is definitely an exciting and unusual fragrance for men and women, which would suit me perfectly on colder days.
