A balanced floral fragrance
One of the first perfumes I've sampled and tried from Pineward-- which, in fact, Alfiryn is the scent that enticed me to buy my first handful of samples from the line-- and also what made me start getting into perfumes as a hobby.
Alfiryn is a floral blend with a dewy, fresh initial spray that to me is reminiscent of wet hay in the best possible way-- not like something in it is rotting, like something in the haystack is sprouting-- It's light, and dries down quickly into that wonderful white floral that's not overly powdery or musty. This scent is exactly what I'd imagine a forest after the rain would smell like, the transition from winter to spring after a sun shower. The first time I sprayed this, I sneezed like I'd walked right into a pollen cloud; It's a great spring and late summer fragrance with minimal earthy or spicy undertones you'd find in most else of Pineward's products. It stands out-- in a good way! Truly unique, deep, something that makes me want to pull petal stems from inside a fairy ring. I wore this most of this year's autumn and it kept me warmer more than any of the coats I wore.
