Powder fragrance or light blue?
Oh yes. So Pure is a fragrance that develops completely differently on paper than it does on paper.
But it's best to start at the beginning.
In my search for a feminine powder fragrance (or my "ballet fragrance", as I called it in the forum), So Pure found its way to me as an additional recommendation. Thanks to KakaoMitRum at this point (:
Anyways, to be honest, I sniffed the spray head with little hope and was surprised.
Suddenly I found myself back in the changing room of my old ballet school. The illuminated mirrors, dance shoes lying and hanging everywhere. Make-up, perfumes, bags and pink organza skirts. So Pure greeted me with an incredibly beautiful, well-groomed, skin-tight powderiness. I was blown away. Had I found what I was looking for so quickly?
Now full of expectation, I first sprayed on a test strip and was surprised again: the opening was much fresher than I would have expected. I was also hit by a floral wave - almost too much floral for my taste. The fragrance then very quickly settled into a uniform floral scent, from which I could no longer discern many nuances.
Oh well, I thought. That doesn't necessarily have to be bad. Meanwhile, So Pure smelled very clean and well-groomed to me and had something very motherly and embracing about it. And then there was something that my head always describes as bright and light.
At this point, however, I realized that I was getting a little bored with the fragrance. It was very one-sided; there wasn't much to discover.
Well, I thought, give it a little time. My ballet dressing room note has to be somewhere. So after a while I crept back in and So Pure had changed very little. It still feels like an unobtrusive, slightly sweet mummy scent to me.
Impatient as I am and assuming that the changing room was hiding somewhere in the drydown, I dared to do the skin test.
Bam. Light blue.
Wait, what?
My brain didn't want to go along with it. I smelled the paper again. There it was, the powdery, pleasant mom scent.
Swish, with my nose to my wrist.
Light Blue.
How is that possible?
And that was the end of my brief encounter with So Pure, because I already have a Light Blue relative (Yves Rocher Naturelle), which I like a little better. Although I haven't worn it at all this year.
I wanted powder. Clean, skin-like, dusty, well-groomed powder. So Pure, we unfortunately don't work together as I would have liked. Unfortunately, unfortunately.
So the journey continues.
