And in the end, a powder puff explodes...
First of all - I don't know Creed's Pure White Cologne. That's why I can't draw any concrete comparisons. I only know this Dua, which is really beautiful, but also powerful and somehow - surprising.
At my first test I was fascinated by this clean white freshness. A smell like a freshly ironed, freshly washed men's shirt. Business class to spray on. Fine. If I absolutely must sniff at my husband, I thought to myself. When my husband started to wear this scent, I was thrilled, even though his enthusiasm is rather limited. Yes, quite nice, he said. But rather weak. And now we come to the point, because this little munchkin is not weak at all. Rarely has he experienced such a strong Sillage. The scents are also extracts and therefore maybe not so well suited for the species Vielsprüher after all? I can smell him all over the house, everywhere
But first of all, I like him. Bianca Pura starts with citric notes and smells not only white, but green-white. I tap on the galbanum, which gives a green touch to the fragrance, which initially opens with cologne-typical lemon and bergamot. Such a tiny bit of freshly cut grass creeps under the citric top notes, before everything is finely bedded on wonderful white musk. For me, the first thing to sniff is fine, white clean musk, which gives me the image of a freshly washed and ironed shirt. But this image does not remain as it is, because a little later the rice note is added, which powder our freshly washed shirt properly. Not unpleasant, but in the end it becomes a little powder bomb. To be able to imagine that: You layere Armani Privé Vétiver d'Hiver (who also masters this green-white play of colours very well) with 1-2 splashes of Teint de Neige from Villoresi - et voilà!
I know that sounds strange now and the smell is not bad by far. I still think it's great, but in high doses it does get on your nerves a bit now and then. I would be interested to know if the Creed can do without or with a little less powder, because then it would definitely be worth a test. Compared to the other Dua fragrances I have had the pleasure of getting to know so far, it is truly one of the most beautiful. Nevertheless, I have to correct my rating of 8.5 a little bit downwards. Sorry, Bianca Pura!
For me, the brand has so far been characterised by a great deal of pleasure in experimentation. That can succeed, but it doesn't have to. Here it does at times. A little less powder and the fragrance would be perfect.
Many thanks to AdAstra72 for the sample.
