Solid recreation, highly versatile men's signature scent
Vintage Man is the Dua expression inspired by vintage Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme, originally released in 1994, and while I didn’t wear it much myself, one of my college roommates worn it occasionally and the Dua mimics my memory of that. It has a cologne-like center while being woodier and having that tingly/minty vibe that reminds me of geranium but is more of the lavender, tonka, pepper, and sage blend. Overall, it’s a versatile, classic-meets-modern type of men’s signature scent that makes for an easy transition from day to night, and works well as a classy option for the office or an evening out, in my opinion. I do not imagine, even back in 1994, that it reinvented the wheel, but it’s a notably less spicy counterpart to many of the men’s fragrances, notably fougeres, that preceded it.
