Linden Blossom Perfection
A linden blossom soliflore perfected, L'Eau Qui Enlace, composed by Francois Kurkdjian, evokes Tilia Cordata at its apex. I feel as though I am under a linden tree's canopy, soaking in its beauty. The fragrance of these blossoms belies the shy, tender appearance of their inflorescence. They fill the humid summer air here in New England with an intoxicating balm.
Kurkdjian illuminates their rather complex scent profile here: overtones of lemon and lime, the mid tones of honeysuckle, sweet pea, jasmine, undertones of honey, beeswax, pollen, musk. Most saliently, L'Eau Qui Enlace embodies the lightness of linden, which may seem a paradox given its description, but this lightness sets it apart from the headiness of traditional white florals. Linden may be strong, but it's also soft!
This truly satisfies my yen for a linden soliflore, bringing me cheer and elevating my mood, much like the brand Til suggests is the healing property of its flower. According to Til: "neuroscience has also proven its significant effect on positive emotions: in particular it elicits joy, pleasure and calm. Treat yourself, endlessly!" Don't mind if I do....
