Outdoor pool, sun cream, ice lollies
30 years ago... 30 degrees and the weekend... As a little hophead, I woke up early because the swimming pool was on the agenda... a nervous breakfast and then mom and dad finally packed the bag, got the bikes out and off we went to the outdoor pool. Long queues at the entrance and little Julian increasingly impatient and full of anticipation for the water slide.
But wait, first we have to apply cream...
And here we are 30 years later, a glorious sunny day today and the first time 19 - nineteen has been sprayed on.
The smell in my nose (yuck - the images of the past in my head), exactly the sunscreen note that my mom used to put on me - when she was still around.
Surrounded by the many other impressions (meadow, paddling pool, ice lolly). All captured in this fragrance. Very strong at first spray. Anyone who knows twelve or twenty-one will be surprised by the sillage. Much stronger, but sweetish, creamy, summer. I perceive a hint of coconut, but also the slightly aquatic, and even more the flowers and the light iris (which I love in fragrances. Thus a slight powderiness). I also don't detect any strong synthetics, which some recognize, but I'm not a master perfumista either.
Longevity is good, easily 6-7 hours on the skin.
It gradually becomes closer to the skin but still (with three sprays) very noticeable. Yes, it's sweet, but it's unmistakably the summer of my childhood in the bottle. A real highlight in my opinion and made for me. Filled with positive memories.
Does everyone like it? I don't think so. Too soft for some men, a fabric softener. For me, a fragrance of the past, without responsibility, the big green water slide, the 5m tower as a challenge and a smile on my lips.
What a fragrance should be for me.
I am very positively surprised by Valjues and also surprised by the rather low ratings. But that's exactly what it is. Tastes are different.
Sorry for the story around it, but with this fragrance it was important for me to describe the background.
