Leather, tobacco and cognac
First of all: I never give fragrances a numerical rating. Putting subjective into objective is futile.
Top: the first spray sparks joy, as lemon, bergamot and saffron greet my nose, although the lemon is rather reserved. Closely followed by pepper. Fresh and sweet, reminiscent of the sugar in a cognac. Leather is also present, sometimes a little stronger, sometimes a little less loud.
Heart: the sweetness begins to shift in the direction of very ripe mandarin without reaching the foul side. Leather and labdanum come to the fore and paradoxically make everything calmer. Towards the back, I begin to mildly perceive the tobacco of delicious, unlit cigars. Now at the latest: rapture.
Base: the cedar is more of a cedar in my case, unfortunately. Perhaps it is still growing? The amber doesn't really seem to be able to support it. Nevertheless, a well-rounded drydown.
Essentially, the perfume is reminiscent of Ombre Leather, but somewhat milder and more acidic, as the mandarin is not jasmine. I like it even better, but that's for everyone to decide for themselves.
H/S: the weak point. For me, unfortunately, after 6 hours the party is over and I can only sniff it close to the skin.
If this were to be available as an extrait, I would be delighted.
Bottle: yes, it contains the eau de parfum. No, it's not really attractive. But it's more of a minor matter, even if it does smell good to me.
Overall a 7.5 out of 10.
