Imagination with a sharper top note
When my "Imagination | Louis Vuitton" was empty and I wasn't ready to spend so much money on a fragrance again, I looked for similar scents and stumbled across the "Art of Arabia I | Lattafa / لطافة"
As it is considered similar here on Parfumo, I immediately ordered a bottling and tested it.

When it arrived, it was unpacked full of excitement and sprayed directly onto my wrist.
My first thought was: "It does smell like "Imagination | Louis Vuitton"... only somehow "mintier" and "sharper."
The listed mint and ginger are certainly responsible for this, which makes the fragrance very fresh and a little spicy.
After a short time, the tea is added, closely followed by well-dosed incense and cinnamon.
A great combination that makes me think of "Imagination | Louis Vuitton" from start to finish. However, the latter seems a little smoother and calmer to me.

It lasts a great 6-8 hours with a sillage that is very strong at the beginning and can definitely annoy those around you, but becomes calmer over time but is still easily perceptible.
The price here is currently under 50, which is absolutely brilliant!

Comparisons to "Le Gemme - Tygar | Bvlgari" or "Turathi (Blue) | Afnan Perfumes" were also mentioned here...
I can understand that because these fragrances go in a similar direction, but for me the "Art of Arabia I | Lattafa / لطافة" is clearly close to "Imagination | Louis Vuitton" and therefore a great alternative for anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune on fragrances.

Inexpensive all-rounder. "Absolutely" recommendable!
In my search for a cheaper alternative to "Percival | Parfums de Marly", I was often disappointed, or rather there was simply nothing that suited me.
Either the longevity was too poor, the sillage was subterranean or the fragrance itself was not close enough to "Percival | Parfums de Marly"...
In my opinion, "Absolutely Dark | Zara" is now a worthy representative!

It starts with mandarin, bergamot and maritime notes, which makes it very fresh. This freshness remains present throughout, but later recedes more into the background.
After a short time, the point comes where it differs slightly from its "colleagues".
I find that tonka bean and cashmere make the fragrance "creamier", which I don't mean in a negative way. I'm not talking about a heavy and sweet "creaminess" here, but one that resonates pleasantly lightly.
Gradually, peppery and woody tones join in, making the fragrance - and I agree with the previous speakers - all in all "showery".
I personally like these types of fragrances because they make you smell well-groomed and are uncomplicated.

With the "Absolutely Dark | Zara" you have exactly the kind of "all-rounder" that always works.
Durability and sillage are above average and, depending on the dosage, even above average. All this at a ridiculously low price where more spraying doesn't hurt financially. :D

For me, I have found the alternative to "Percival | Parfums de Marly" and give it a clear recommendation to buy!

Between "Cool Water" and "Cool Water Intense
What I was excited about the new Davidoff Cool Water perfume, after I am like millions of other men and women a fan of the classic "Cool Water".
I would like to say right away: It is not a "more current" or "improved" version of the classic "Cool Water".

Is that bad!!! Yep...

I personally find such increases in a perfume series of Edt to EdP to Parfum, Parfum Intense, etc. always great when the basic DNA is maintained and the fragrance was revised or even actually improved (see, for example, Armani Code EdT to EdP, etc.)
Here we get "merely" a potent Freshie the (unfortunately) has nothing to do with the original fragrance, except the application with regard to the season --> spring / summer

Here you smell in the prelude immediately the lemon out, which harmonizes super with the sweeter pink pepper and gives you a fresh, slightly fruity-sweet blow. Makes in any case summery good mood :D
A little later then slowly emerges the vetiver, which makes the whole something herbaceous-balsamic and is further accompanied in the background of pink pepper.
The whole is rounded off by the sandalwood, gives the fragrance some depth and harmonizes.
Great is that the shelf life for a Freshie here is super 7-9h and the sillage in the first about 3h is strong with me and then slowly becomes skin closer, but is always perceptible.

Too bad that we do not get an improved original fragrance, however, this new Davidoff does in my eyes what he should do simply well.
He does not cool as the CW, however, he is - fortunately - not as sweet as the CWI. He is a middle thing from both fragrances.
The "Cool Water Parfum" refreshes us and on top of it brings us summery-sweet good mood that lasts a long time!

The "feel-good code
Back when the first Armani Code came out, that was one of the fragrances that had a DNA that was distinctive and wonderful to me.
When you smelled that DNA, you immediately knew it was Armani Code.
Worn and loved by many men (including me!!!), however, he also had slight weaknesses in the H/S at that time...
But what you got after some time after the release and still gets today was and is a cheek.
A -so it seems to me- reformulated Armani code, which evaporated after about 3h and no one has perceived, not even I as a wearer....
Therefore, it was high time that this great fragrance and this great DNA gets a new edition without any epithets like "Profumo", "Absolu" etc..., because I actually none of these flankers really liked.
Overall, I just wanted my old Armani Code back, which I now even got improved! *__*
The whole thing I would like to explain to you here now and try to describe the fragrance:

It starts with a nice combination of tangerine and lemon. The bergamot I do not perceive. Directly to this comes a certain "freshness" or "cleanliness", which clearly includes the heart note of lavender and rosemary and harmonizes ingeniously.
Subsequently, the whole thing goes into the base note and becomes - unlike the original code - deeper, more adult and very sensual!
Here the tonka bean and vanilla play the main role in the ideally matched ratio and give the fragrance a serious and deep existence.
What I love about this "new old" code is that it sticks to the primal DNA and from top to base all the individual notes are ALWAYS present, but let the other notes take precedence when it's their "turn". I have not had that with other fragrances so far so.
For me, the Armani Code Eau de Parfum smells already at the beginning as he smells at the end, but with the above-described perfect coordination of the individual fragrance notes.
In addition, there is a great durability with me of 8-10h, depending on the dosage.
The whole has a pleasant but clearly perceptible sillage.
Except in the summer you can wear the I find always. He always comes on well, you are clearly perceived and he just always fits. (whether in the office, meeting, wedding, clubbing,...)

The "new old" Armani Code is back, but with more power, sensuality, endurance and seriousness!
I wish for something like this more often when switching from EdT to EdP or Parfum, as these are often completely different fragrances and have little to nothing to do with the original DNA and are worse in H/S to boot...

So men's world: the "code to feel good" is back!!!

He was, is and remains my faithful companion!
Hach my Aqua di Gio... :')
When I was about 15 years old, I bought the ADG EdT as my first fragrance with my own money.
I smelled it for the first time and it touched me.
Those maritime, light, bright, woody and fresh notes.... Awesome! It was my companion until I got "too old" for it and then - luckily - it got older too.... more mature... darker... more mysterious... more persistent...
A DNA that still touches me and makes me feel positive today!
From the bright, fresh, light-hearted EdT to the currently more serious, very masculine, strong, more mysterious Profumo, which still brings a healthy amount of lightness and freshness despite all this time.
ADG Profumo is as already described the darker version.
The beginning with aquatic-spicy notes is directly more mature, however, the ADG DNA remains very present throughout the course.
The heart notes I hardly perceive... Vllt with a little imagination sage and rosemary, however, the aquatic notes are pushed back ran.
In the base then the clearly darker and adult version with great - for me - "wet woody" patchouli in combination with shallow incense. The whole enveloped by the persistent aquatic, masculine notes.
A fragrance that radiates freshness, masculinity, confidence and strength.
He always goes, but on spring and summer evenings he comes mMn the best to advantage!
Durability is with me around the 8 hours with appropriate, never too loud sillage!

Final sentence: He was, is and remains my faithful companion!
