One word... sexy.
Sampling this in the store, I loved it so much I bought some for myself.I wore this quite a bit in the late 80's. I especially loved the green notes, and the slightly oriental edge. I had the splash, so very little was applied, and just enough. Very sexy. Come to think of it, I should probably buy some for my husband.

Classic beauty.
I wore this in the 80's. It made me feel so much more sophisticated than I was, ha ha. Every time I would smell this fragrance, I was swept back to 5th Avenue, New York City, as that is where I spent much of my time while wearing First. For me, First exudes wealth. It's been many years now since I've smelled it, so I can't speak about the notes of the fragrance, I'm going with a feel and memory here. It's not for the young, or immature. A classic beauty. Bottle is gorgeous too.

Elegant, sophisticated, and intoxicating. A true gem in the fragrance world.
It's a terrible, terrible shame, that the original Nina was discontinued. A true beauty. This was my signature scent for years. I especially preferred it in the eau de toilette verses the eau de parfum. The eau de toilette is balanced so perfectly. For those who have never experienced Nina, I like to describe it as a sophisticated, elegant, and lightly smoldering sexy fragrance. The marigold is quite prominent. Quite disappointing that it's been replaced with a new fragrance with the same name, that is candy-like, as so many fragrances tend to be these days. I've never found anything that comes close to the original Nina, try as I may, nothing compares. Oh, how I wish they would bring this back!!!

Warm, creamy sweetness, verging on cloying.
Warm, creamy, sweetness. The carnation is ever so softly present, especially in the beginning, and gives it a gentle spice kick. I can definitely smell patchouli, sandalwood and vanilla, the white flowers too, although I can't identify them individually. I feel like I detect something else sweet and resinous along with the vanilla. Cristobal becomes very sweet on me after the dry-down, maybe even cloying. But, I find it yummy and lovely in the cooler weather. I think that I would not tolerate this well in warmer temps, it works best for me on a cool, crisp fall day, preferably in the evening.

This does remind me of Sahlini La Femme, but spicier and sweeter.

Cozy, spicy and yummy.
I feel Tobago is definitely on the masculine side even though it's fairly sweet. This makes me think of an elite ocean side bar during a cool autumn where you find lots of polished wood, and men in nubby wool sweaters. :) There is something that is very textural about Tobago, I think perfect for the fall. It would be so cozy and yummy on a very masculine man.
