Warm, glowing incense.
One of my favorites! Secret Obsession has some of my favorite notes; nutmeg, plum, sandalwood and tuberose. I'm sure that I smell patchouli in there. It's got a slightly masculine edge which is so sexy. I find it to be somewhat intoxicating, and I'm feeling quite addicted. There is just enough vanilla to make this a warm, smoldering incensy fragrance. I absolutely love the bottle as well, the softly faceted beautiful brown globe is like a glowing warm jewel. It's a keeper for me.
Vivara Black, I love you so, why do you hide from me?
Why is this nearly impossible to find and purchase? If only I had picked it up when Sephora was carrying it! Dagnammit! This opens with a strong burst of bergamot. The bergamot is so prominant that it almost makes this seem masculine. But then jasmine comes forth and it becomes a dominant note which sweetens the composition. This reminds me very much, of a shop that sells and burns incense, LOTS of it. When you walk past the store's open door, the combination of incenses hit you in the face (sweet - very sweet, spicy, smokey, herbal aromas. That's exactly what Vivara Black smells like to me, and I love it so very much.
Soft & sophisticated. Well worth the small price tag.
Rich, dark amber honey hugs gentle florals and woods. The color of the bottle reflects the mysterious juice inside. Reminds me a bit of John Varvatos for women, without that jam smacking punch! Mystique is appropriate for day but even better for night. Love the fact that there is available, the shower gel, and body lotion to layer. Perfect for a night in, in front of the fire, cozy in, red wine in hand and hunker down.
