Very erotic, very warm and very sensual.
If there's one thing I want to smell about a man, it's this. :) Spicy, warm, balsamic, dark, mysterious, sexy. The dark woods and resins dance with the vetiver. Pepper, frankincense, saffron and leather make you think of a dark-haired, daring, strong and mysterious man from the Orient... DIVINE. Must have for every confident man.

Like "Birdland" in New York...
Wow... when I first smelled that perfume I felt like I was taken back to 'Birdland' in New York where I saw a great jazz concert. Yes. This perfume smells absolutely like a jazz club and asks me if Aliénor Massenet sometimes romps around there himself. The scent of drinks, leather seats, cigars, aftershave... Perfect. Perfect. If a fragrance can revive memories so strongly, even after 10 years (it is exactly 10 years ago that I was in Birdland), then it is a masterpiece. I don't like the bottle very much, though. I want a real cap on my perfumes.

Heavy, very strong, very long lasting.
This is the strongest perfume in my collection and also the one with the greatest addictive factor. Extremely spicy but also warm and humid, like a jungle. On me the carnation comes out the most, liquorice is noticeable only after one hour. The cardamom clouds everything during the whole fragrance journey. He is always there and can easily become too much for his fellow men. Compliments are rather limited with this fragrance. Except Christmas.

Can't understand the negative ratings.
I have recommended the fragrance many times and everyone liked it. A smoky version of the original, deeper, more sensual, spicier... The Miyake DNA on drug so to speak. Bright and dark, refreshing and beguiling at the same time. Yuzu in the top note convinces with energy, in the heart note it gets warmer and sexier and papyrus with incense dances at the end with ambergris and benzoin a slow tango. A fragrance that can be worn anytime, anywhere. One of my absolute Miyake favorites. Why so few people here understand and love this fragrance is a mystery to me.

Disappointed for the first time by Miyake.
I love the Pour Homme fragrances from Miyake. They all have this special DNA that keeps thrilling me. Unfortunately I was completely disappointed for the first time. Too much Ambroxan (why in a wood composition?), no Yuzu, durability a joke and Sillage after 1 minute not available. The cardamom was perceptible but of strangely synthetic quality, the grapefruit biting resinous (didn't really fit me), then woody peach (what the hell...!) and woody patchouli with a little earthiness. A loser all down the line for me personally. And I was so looking forward to this scent, because I love woody scents. That's too bad. And where's the beautiful Miyake DNA? Hopefully that was just an exception. In the future, heavenly compositions like Noir Ambré again, please
