Arab Embassy
I became aware of the fragrance through a nice lady from Holland on YouTube
She has praised him very much and since I like to test new things he came with me on the list and I could trade him very soon here.

The first thing to mention is the bottle, which is a work of art in itself. Also the packaging made of wood has what.

Now about the scent, when I first sprayed it on it was like a duel for me. I love my Aventus, Virgin Island Water and of course especially my Layton. But what came here has the potential to put many to shame.

From the first minute, this scent is slightly sweet but it doesn't overdo it and it already starts the ride with saffron and rose. I also smell something fruity out but can't really define it but that's also over after 2-3 minutes.
The vanilla is still discreetly in the background, you can hear it easily but time brings it more and more to the fore. Oud is present but subtle, gentle, soft and not animalic. It flatters more and is also not so intrusive.

Now that I'm writing these lines I have to keep smelling my arm so I can better describe Resala. So it might take me longer to finish commenting.

Ok, onward because slowly the scent picks up and the orchestra is joined by chocolate. I never thought before that I like chocolate in a perfume, Resala proved me wrong and it fits into the whole combination. And so I'm smelling my arm again.
As time goes on, the scent gets warmer and softer. Oud, chocolate and vanilla take over the reins, saffron and rose step more and more into the background, but are never 100% gone.

The entire fragrance fits for me, is like "Sky and Sand" by P. Kalkbrenner, Powerful, gentle, melodic, soothing and just good.

Now the dry themes like H & S.
Both are above average. On the skin it lasts with me easily over 11 - 12 hours and longer. On the things I can perceive him partly still the next day. The sillage is also very good, he is almost room-filling.

Through this fragrance I will probably deal a little more intensively with the fragrances of Arabian Oud.

Resala, the message has arrived and you are now very high on my ranking list!

Royal without being aloof
When extensively rummaging and testing in my favorite perfumery in Halle / S. came in a coffee break, yes that's part of the service there, the suggestion I should test times Santal Royal, which could fit for me.
The test strip was sprayed, I was by the coffee again "reset" so fresh to the work.

I must say I liked it right away. Rose, jasmine and some peach, not intrusive, but a mix that pleases, especially me. So immediately a spray on the skin because the test strip is nice and good but that's not the place of use and natural habitat of a perfume. There the same result and after about 30min the scent then softens and sandalwood and oud come to the fore, sittet, oriental light. Is all good, but what rounds off the fragrance is in small form the leather and musk but above all the cinnamon. I love the smell of cinnamon anyway but here he makes for me the dot on the i.
The harmony that Santal Royal radiates makes this fragrance so good for me and it gets better and better with time on the skin.

Now for the bare facts. The shelf life is 8h+. The projection is also very good.

Now I also remember the words of my "favorite saleswoman" in the perfumery, "I know what they are looking for before they know it themselves and I also know that Santal Royal is one of the fragrances they take today." And she was right, at least on this day

Sohan or give him some time
I came across this fragrance by chance and have me immediately once a sample ersoukt. Thanks to Domo88 at this point.

What can I say, the first spray, a quick sniff, yes, that is really uncompromising and makes no "prisoners".

The fragrance starts strong with rose and saffron and at first moment I thought I can't stand this for half an hour. But then the fragrance becomes softer, more benign and also a little sweeter but the basic direction remains, oud and sandalwood come in and I start to like the Sohan. This woody, this variety are fun and it never gets boring.

It won't and can't be everyone's darling, but it is very multi-faceted and interesting. You just have to give him the time to unfold its full potential.

1899 - or is that the smell of Christmas?
I'm browsing at my favourite perfume dealer in Halle/S. again, where I am given Histoires de Parfums 1899 with the words "Just let it work, it might fit" to test.

The first smell sample, ok, not bad, I like it, please put a test spray on the skin.

First of all, wait a minute and then, as someone once said, "Yes, is it Christmas already?".
It was the first thing that came to mind
The fragrance was very soft and gentle for my nose, it didn't bother me and somehow it exuded a certain "warmth".

Enough raving about the facts.

I immediately have juniper and cinnamon in my legs with a shot of bergamot, so that it does not get too sweet.
Pepper I do not take was nevertheless I this always first smell, seems to be well hidden.

After approx. 30min the full "addiction potential" develops.
The vanilla joins in with a small shot of vetiver and a slightly woody note.

That fits and also still holds for a long time. 8 hours are no problem, on things also longer and the Sillage is good but it is no "Beast"

The only minus point is the spray head, with the first sprayer there is little, with the 2nd a lot and from the third it is then constant.

The fragrance fits naturally for the winter, in summer it would be too heavy I think.

So, enough facts and back to the perfumery.....

I tried some more fragrances that day, but nobody promised me more then that.
My nose was probably on course "1899" and somehow I wanted to lick my arm to see if it tasted as it smelled
The saleswoman just laughed and ordered me a coffee "so that I have something "different" in my nose" while she was still looking for a few samples of my newly acquired fragrance

To come back to the question at the beginning, yes, that's how Christmas smells, sweet, delicious, citrusy-fruity and somehow warm.

I hope the description helps you and the scent pleases you as much as I do.

More expected from Dolce&Gabbana
I'll make it short, like I'm used to on the job.
The scent opens fresh, with a strong perception of grapefruit peel and juniper.
Then it goes over very quickly into the heart note, which is slightly peppery and spicy, but I like it. Also this one doesn't last long and already an oakmoss - wood note is knocking. The scent is inconspicuous - pleasant, but the durability is so bad that after 2.5 hours I can no longer perceive any of it on my skin. Even on tissue paper it does not look much better.
If the durability would be better, it could be a nice, light summer scent.

I think that's how he'll leave my collection.
