A Silky Gourmand Delight
I know that this perfume is often compared to Hypnotic Poison, but I think it’s actually nicer. This smells sweeter and creamier, and like Turquoise, I think there’s enough different about it to make it unique. (Sadly, I have no experience with Habanita by Molinard, so I'm unable to comment as to any simlarity to it.)

I too primarily smell the almond and liquorice in the beginning. Later on, the musk, spices and floral notes come out nicely.

Again, a Jeanne Arthes product impresses me. I got a massive 100 ml bottle of this for £7.95. It smells and looks expensive. If you're short of money, but still want to indulge in a fragrance purchase, definitely give this one a go.

As Hard to Find as Hen's Teeth
This is one of those fragrances that lingers in your mind. I’ve likely not smelled it for ten years, but I remember it as if I smelled it yesterday. I used to wear it back in the late 90’s before it became rare. It’s one of my favourite perfumes ever. It’s simply beautiful, and it smelled far more expensive than it was. It's amazing that it has so few notes, but it's so perfectly balanced. I always got compliments when I wore this because it’s sexy, sophisticated and confident. Buy it if you can find it, you won’t be sorry.

Sweetly Surreal
This fragrance is everything I love. It’s extremely girly: it’s frills, lace,
cupcakes, butterflies and flowers. However, this is a perfume for girly girls with an edge. The liquorice/ aniseed note along with the spices, wood and tobacco make this unique and give it a feisty backbone. I suppose Eve might’ve worn this had it been around in Eden.

Great Fragrance at a Great Price
I got this recently as a cheap blind buy from a website (roughly £5) with free delivery, and I was amazed by the quality of this fragrance. Yes, the name and bottle leave a lot to be desired, but I've got loads of compliments on this. I feel confident and sexy wearing it.

This is a really nice sweet fruity floral. It starts out very sweet and fruity, but the floral notes come out after twenty to thirty minutes. The sillage and also longevity are fairly good. It works well as a day to day or an evening perfume.

I liked this so much that I bought Sexy Me No. 3, and I like it nearly as much as I like this. I don't think I've ever bought two perfumes from the same company without smelling them, so well done to Jeanne Arthes.

Pleasantly Inoffensive
This is wonderfully fresh fragrance, and it's great for work because it's not overpowering. This smells strongly of violets on my skin. I get a bit of fruit in the beginning, but after an hour or so, I primarily smell the floral notes with violet being the strongest. However, the amber, sandalwood, musk and cedarwood balance it out a bit.

The drawbacks are that it's not got great lasting power, but if I put a bit of vitamin E oil on my skin before I apply it, I can stretch it to a few hours. The sillage isn’t amazing either, but you can afford to apply it generously and often.

I've tried two Jeanne Arthes fragrances now, and I'm amazed by the value (both were roughly £5 each delivered). They don't smell cheap at all. Fragrance snobs might scoff at them, but I don't care. It leaves me more money to buy perfume.
