I'm NO fan of Beiber but this is great stuff.
Enough lecturing, this is a sweet slightly bitter floral fragrance. In the top i get pear, but not the meat of the pear. More like the skin on the pear, with just some of the juices left over, the sweetness i get from this note is slightly green. Also in the top i get the juicy raw glucose scent from the red berry note (challenge for you, how many red berries can you name off in 30 secs?).

Now to the middle. The jasmine, which smells like a more toned down powdery version of the jasmine you'll find in Alien. Very nice, and executed well, the jasmine could have easily overpowered the entire composition. Also in the middle we have Floral notes(I get a creamy honeysuckle, almost a sun-kissed vibe).

Lastly in the base we have what they call musk, but, i'd be inclined to say that it is actually white musk. Which as most of you will know, white musk is a much softer sweeter, more synthetic musk scent. It would surprise me if it WASN'T white musk. And obviously alongside the white musk we have Vanilla to finish the fragrance into a creamy sweet, slightly floral aromatic.

This is a great fragrance, i had my sister smell it without knowing what it was and she was IN LOVE (she hates the Beiber).

:ADD ON: The dry-down

(After a few hours of it sitting on my hand is has turned essentially into that raw surgery glucose scent, with a whiff of velvety honeysuckle. Simply gorgeous.)

Unisex much?
Shame on you Armani, this could have made an EXCELLENT unisex fragrance that you could have added to your lineup. There are PLENTY of fragrances designed "pour homme" that smell MUCH more feminine than this could ever DREAM of being. This is a nod towards you, joop! jump, Le male, 1 million and diesel Fuel for life. Enough of my complaining ass, lets move onto the scent.

THE LIQUID OF JOY.
I would be inclined to proclaim that the title suits. This fragrance is very refreshing, fruity and floral. I simply can't get ENOUGH of this masterpiece, it's like a horrible addiction. So bad that every time my boyfriend and i are even CLOSE to a macy's/bon-ton i'm mentioning how i can't wait to smell aqua di gioia. I think he may be mildy relieved i've finally made myself a decant.

The top is DOMINATED by a chilled ripe lemon and a squeeze of bergamot, chilled as well of course. I really enjoy the lemon in this one, it isn't that typical "grocery store" produce section lemon smell. Lest we forget the mint, probably giving the lemon it's chilled effect, because i dont necessarily smell it on it's own.

The heart is smoothed by a powdery jasmine, which again, i can't get enough of. I am a jasmine ADDICT! There is also some pink pepper giving that slightly sweet vegetal dirt esque plant smell, and peony which provides that "exciting" almost ADHD floral note. :).

The base is intimidating, with it's super realistic sugar note, it's sun drenched ceder, and syrupy floral labdanum. The sugar note is simply spot on, and i would encourage my readers to go and open their sugar jar and take a whiff, you'll understand what i mean.

Angel men looks good in a speedo
This is extraordinary.
Look out everyone, A*men has taken his suit and tie off, and is taking a swim in his pool after mowing the lawn and clipping the hedges!
It astonishes me how Jaques was able to keep a firm grip onto the base notes of the original, and still manage to create something green and fresh!

The top:
Read with confidence, there is without a DOUBT a menthol aroma chemical in here. Along with a very pungent nutty earthy nutmeg. The first blast of this bad-boy is very cold and dry.

The middle:
To me the middle is dominated by a moist rose smell. As if there is a singular rose bush in the middle of a humid urban area, being drenched by dirty thunderstorm rain, along with just a touch of cinnamon spice.

The base:
I get A*men's signature base here, nothing much to be mentioned, if you've smelled it you know exactly what i'm talking about. Along with some very harsh cilantro and basil notes, acting like bad kids, acting arrogant to grab your attention!

This is an excellent summer execution of a strictly fall/winter scent

Cheerful cherry almond
Recently these little gems have been showing up left and right at my local grey market store leaving me with a "?" kind of feeling. One would think that a semi-niche company like LL would be in nordstoms/ultaONLY.

Last mothers day i bought a 3.4oz of this stuff for my step-mother, and she COMPLETELY loves it. For me personally, i get a highway pileup of almonds and cherry. Sort of combined in a way which suggests that they are blended well.
Annick Menardo is my all time favorite perfumer, and this is no exception to what i expect from her.

Sidetracking a bit, my good friend G.Perfumista told me that when something is executed so wildly, instead of being typical, it becomes the opposite. THAT is what i get from this fragrance. It is SO sweet, and SO girly that it comes off as being almost sophisticated and regal.

The top of this is weird, there is SOME kind of creamy green mixed in with cheerful peony. Violet calms the composition, and obviously is there to balance the girly sweetness with a nice moist/floral accord. The drydown is consistant, and is made of a mixture of both almond and cherries. They're very well blended and compliment each other extremely well. imagine a cherry/vanilla milkshake with bits of almond floating within.

A classy oriental
I had never heard of Boucheron before i really got into fragrances. More or less i forced myself to be introduced to it, because i knew that Annick Menardo had created this one. I was under the assumption that this would be special, and boy was i entirely correct.
Jaipur is sweet, but not candy-like in any way shape or form. It's woody without being dusty or irritating, and spicy without muting the other notes. A true work of art, and because of this scent i will be looking further into Boucheron.
I have said it before, and i'll say it again. Annick Menardo is the master of refined sweet fragrances (body kouros, Xeryus rouge, LLAM,Fuel for life). Not regal enough to be a "dress up" only fragrance, and too well made to be a strictly casual creation. Jaipur, in my opinion, is great for a dinner, work or while hanging out with friends and family.

The top:

Is interesting, there is lime there no doubt, i find it hard to ignore once my nose latches onto it. Margarita esque, the lime in this composition almost has a "soaked in booze" smell to it. Cardamom in the top notes are very interesting, one doesn't often see them there, rather in the middle and base. By doing it this way i feel like there is much more character from the beginning (don't get this confused with being "front loaded"). Lemon and bergamot are clearly included in the top to cut it a bit, and to clean things up. Don't want things getting too bold too quickly!

The heart:

After sifting through a FOG of rich carnation, one may be able to start differentiating the middle of this fragrance. To sidetrack a second, i believe that the carnation in this fragrance is what gives it it's "fancy" qualities.
Powdery jasmine co-operates together with cinnamon to sort of create a "pollen dusted earthy spice" accord. Very interesting and unique. One will also find rose, wich is paired perfectly with the strong carnation. Moist, innocent and sweet, rose makes up for many other notes rudeness.

The base:

Sunny, inviting patchouli is there to greet you warmly at the dry down. Strong, but not obnoxious the patchouli performs as a "binder" of sorts for the base, allowing all of the other accords a floor to stand on. Once ones nose smells past the patchouli the earthy, sweet tonka beans are thrown onto the soft wet sand to bake in the sun. Benzoin crystals are what add a soft of "at the beach" tone to this piece. I imagine a flower shop on the boardwalk. It may be the combination of the benzoin and cedar, i'm not too sure.
