Thierry Mugler Meets Willy Wonka
The enhancement smells as if someone dropped a closed fist full of melted Belgian chocolates into the original formula. The chocolate and cacao are very superior. I almost want to say... it's too much & the caramel enhancement in Alien wasn't enough. Angel Taste of Fragrance gives me the feel of Acqua di Parma Mandorlo di Sicilia, only a lot richer and focused on that chocolate. I'm beginning to think the famous Chef who incorporated the gourmand note into this fragrance was Willy Wonka.

Halston Goes Oud
Modern, woody and most assuredly... balmy. First impression is that of Armani Prive Ambre Soie, but far from linear. Halston Amber is not loud, but it is far from quiet. Throughout its transitions, each layer of notes are given abundant time to be vibrant. As we soar deeper into the dry-down the oud begins to cape the fragrance, but domesticated by bergamot and Virginia cedar. Myrhh is raw, but is a team player here. The more the middle and base settles, the more of a Middle Eastern vibe I get... and more is better. Even the bottle looks the part. I'm not a Halston fan, but I'm proud to have this among my collection.

Scent
My Perception of A*Men Le Le Goût du Parfum
Arabica coffee beans consumed by ground chilli peppers and presumably seeds of anise, freshly brewed into a flask of masculinity. Monin vanilla syrup seeps in, hitting the base of the bottle, glazing the patchouli and mint leaves. Followed by a rich brulee creme poured upon the horizon of notes. I can practically see the ingredients floating behind the fierce-red star. Could this be the alter-ego of B*Men?
