Chypric mossiness or lush green bliss?
A Hallowach blend of chypre, bath foam and nature for all hits Augusta's nose without a second thought. In effect, Wrappings isn't exactly well-behaved, but it's also not quite as wildly aromatic as the familiar Elixir from the same house or Bandit or other older chypres. But it is definitely related in terms of herbaceous composition.
When the flowers join in - classic, fresh and ladylike in a good sense - it becomes lighter and a bit creamy. Herbal care creamy.

I wade knee-high in Mediterranean herbs for hours. A scent like fresh cool air walking through the herb garden, no sweetness whatsoever, of course, then back to the aromatic bath foam vibe.
As you can see, Wrappings has me loosely wrapped up and I'm vacillating between lush green bliss and chypric mossy bliss.

Well imaginable in spring and summer, suitable for invigorating refreshment.
I'm saving the rest of the sample anyway for a summer test.

The Miss
Miss is saucy and tart. Not coarse, just tart. And loud, but that with engaging elegance. The floral-soapy base of rose and carnation and a little white unfolds voluminously in the heart of the fragrance and later transitions into a fresh-resinous other florality. Old flowers, old-fashioned youthfulness, rosy lily of the valley tinkling without end. Some earth, dark green base. Enormous Sillage. Not everyone's darling, for shure not. Lingers long, but it's a memorable evening with miss. Wouldn't want to miss it.

Clotted flowers
A honey scent that AugustA likes exceptionally well because it's not ostensibly sweet, but lets you know that honey comes from digested flowers. More poetically speaking: It smells like flowers that have coagulated into honey. And that smells ungourmandig good and independent, because unusual compared to what one imagines under honey smell-technically so. Smells neither like gourmand nor like oriental. And in the finish, well, then typical: soothing as warm milk and honey.

For one of these days
It's light again. You struggle out of bed, the whole long day still ahead of you. The eyes are sticky, off to the shower. Hhmmmm, good. Now shave. And then:

Sedley.

No, sorry, no après shave. There should be one, though. When, if not at this very moment, can the day still be saved. A new turn of events.
Fresh - yes - but also enveloping, intense, and at the same time so light. Yet always transparent. Cliché-free. Slowly, very slowly, it takes you by the hand, step by step. It takes you along.

You open your eyes, look in the mirror, and - catch a mischievous grin. "That day, I've got sack!" "Piece of cake."

...Hmm, maybe another little splash, on the way...

That's the power of Sedley.
Priceless? Almost.

Come back, come, baby, come back
Summer fragrances are for summer and winter fragrances are for winter...
Real summer scents are for the cold winter, and real winter scents carry you through the hot summer.

Sufficiently sprayed on the fragrance arises a spirit of imagination. Like a flying carpet, it carries us back to last summer by the sea or dreams us the next. Citrusy, aquatic, but also slightly bitter, our noses rest in the moss and our olfactory gaze falls on the warm rocks washed by the cool sea water. Come baby, come. Oh come back. Last summer by the sea.

How I look forward to testing the scent in the summer soon!
