Biker on a Persian rug
Imagine this:
A middle aged guy with broad shoulders walks in. A clean biker leather jacket and shining riding boots. He's not one of those biker gangsters, he's just passionate about bikes. Otherwise he's very clean and has an eye for finer things in life. The texture of dirty English is much like a Persian carpet. Warm, soft, fuzzy, cozy and very crowded. A beautiful scent for the price point. Unfortunately suffers from performance issues.

Wild Animal
Oriental to the fullest. Oud is the star of the show. Curtain after curtain, actors come and go but oud stays true and stays the focal point. Animalic, warm, Spicy and balsamic. Never goes too far in any direction. The combination of Elemi and aromatics make up an unintended eucalyptus note which is in perfect harmony with other notes. A slight sweet honey note is also present which offsets the other heavy notes.

A warm hug
If youre looking for a synthetic screamy scent that attracts attention and is very young in character, I'm afraid you should look elsewhere.
It opens up with a huge blast of galbanum, a bitter, woody green note which tempers the sweetness of narcissus itself. When it dries down it turns into a warm, powdery, almost like a women's powder room feel.
It's very mature, calm and serene. You have no rush, no stress and no tension with this one; Rather you feel safety and happiness. It's like a mother's hug almost...

The bridge
It took me a while to have to have a certain view on Montal spicy Aoud. In short it is a more well done version of Versace oud Noir. It has a softer smell and it doesn't have that sharp pepperiness and certainly has better and more high quality material used in it the performance on this is fantastic it projects and lasts a long time. A rich dense musky faux Oud with some spices sprinkled in the background.

Why people sleep on this?
Most of the hype about the L'homme Ideal line goes to Cologne and EDP. But this one never gets talked about. Why?
It starts off with a high dose of Cardamom which smells a bit fresh. The dry-down is smoky, heavy, sweet and the chili just uplifts it do another level and rounds everything out. The star of the show is the chili, otherwise it would be a sweet creamy mess. The chili makes it jump out. It's bold and can be offensive (which I like) but that also means is unique and memorable. It's near perfect to me.
