Cocoa-vanilla tobacco in honeycomb
I was able to secure the fragrance last year in winter for a reasonable price. Some people have already compared it to Tom Ford's "Tobacco Vanilla", but unfortunately I can't say anything about that, as I have never been able to test it.

The first thing I noticed about the fragrance was that it is very oily in consistency. It really lasts extremely long on my skin and I could even feel it a day (and a shower) later.

The bottle and box are nice to look at and look high quality, the sprayer is also one of the better ones.

When sprayed on, it is initially extremely sweet and smells primarily of honey. In the midst of this sweetness, a noticeable light smoky note together with cocoa develops quite quickly
cloves and cinnamon. Only much later in the drydown the honey "tips over" into vanilla. Tobacco...yes, is definitely - although subtly - present, this rounds off the fragrance wonderfully for me.

All in all a really very sweet and slightly turgid scent. In summer it will surely kill the wearer* and the environment. For a wet-cold autumn and winter, however, perfect!

If I had to compare it with another fragrance, I would describe it as a "Pure Havanne" (which I also find great) on steroids and without the cherry.

My conclusion:

Scent: 8,5/9
Shelf life: 10
Sillage: 8
Flacon: 7,5

Thierry Lalique Whuggler
Fält me very difficult to classify this fragrance. It starts with me on the skin with sweet mint, citric notes and then turns into a small pepper bomb with lemon. In the drydown, which I reach after about 70 minutes, I smell a mixture of almost imperceptible, light "lemon pepper" mixed with warm patchouli. Cardamom... I don't notice... and sequoia... honestly I don't know how to smell it, but I can't sniff anything woody. Sillage is on my skin for a summer scent quite okay, he is not loud but you can easily perceive him in arm length. The shelf life is rather poor. After about 4.5 hours the fun is over. The fragrance is definitely a beautiful summer candidate with which one can (certainly) stand out positively, since it does not belong to the aquatic uniform mush that one so often encounters in summer.

Now I have to make a small comparison to one of my favourite fragrances, because Pure Energy / Pure Shot reminds me very much of this one: Lalique White.

People honestly, I find those just resemble freshly sprayed very strongly, Lalique is at most pepperier. While the Lalique in the starting phase after the lemon with a strong pinch of pepper around itself beats, Mugler mint and (not quite so strong) pepper with light lemon form the prelude. The Mugler becomes herber in the drydown by Patchouli, the Lalique herber by the musk.

Both scents are very similar from my perspective, both I like. I'll do a direct comparison test, I'm wrong.

Conclusion: I think the fragrance is awesome! Probably because he just gets so close to my absolute summer favorite Lalique White. The latter is more worth the price, but the Mugler has a few peculiarities that make it nevertheless worthwhile. :)

Liquorice and cappuccino nougat
Finally... my first Mugler. I had tested the standard A*Men some time ago in the shop and found it rather unpleasantly "crass". For some time now, however, my love for coffee has made me feel the need to wear a fragrance in this direction and I find "Pure Tonka" to be quite a beautiful representative.

I can understand that the scent is too sweet for some, this crass sweetness that some members* describe here I can also perceive, but only if I apply it on paper. On my skin the scent reminds me of liquorice at the beginning, I can't smell rosemary or lavender. In the drydown the scent turns over on my skin, the "bear dirt impression" disappears. Instead - as someone has already described here - I get the association of burnt/caramelised sugar, but in a pleasant way, it smells "roasted" and at exactly this point the coffee note suddenly pops into my nose. Sweet! Coffee + sugar or crème brûlée or flan caramell. Taken together, these notes give me the picture of a Caramell cappuccino or - as my girlfriend called it - a cappuccino motorte.
Really great and I like it very much! Yes, it is sweet in any case (but I know sweeter scents), but not so sweet that I would find it unpleasant or unbalanced. The tonka bean and vanilla also resonate in the background, but I find the name Pure Tonka rather inappropriate for the fragrance. In my opinion "Pure Cappucino" or "Pure Caramel" would have been more suitable.

Shelf life is about 10h, the Sillage is very strong at the beginning in my opinion, retreats after about 3.5h and looks very subtle (but also pleasant!).

Conclusion:

Beautiful, sweet coffee scent that makes me want more Mugler (Pure Coffee and Pure Malt are two possible candidates)

Beautiful vanilla smoke
Zadig & Voltaire was unknown to me, but "Just Rock - for him" changed that. In the shop I tested "This is him" and "Just Rock" both, very much agreed with the latter, so he came with me. Compared to "This is him" it smells a lot smokier in the top note, which I like extreeem well. After some time the sweetness of the tonka bean stands in the middle of the incense, I also notice vanilla, but this only really comes into its own for me in the heart note and takes the lead. Now some complained that the vanilla comes across very artificially. Okay, but I have to say: I know more synthetic versions that also provoke headaches. As hearts "spicy notes" are indicated....hmmmm so with me they do not penetrate. The heart note is sweet and smoky with me, pleasantly cuddly and warm. The fragrance starts off male and becomes softer and softer, great changes do not occur in the course of time, in my opinion. The perceptible notes simply overlap each other one after the other. But this should not be understood negatively!

All in all I really like "Just Rock" very much, would rather wear it for leisure or in the evening. As far as the effect on the opposite sex is concerned, I say this much:

When I wear "Just Rock" not only a pleasant sweetness sticks to me....but also my partner. ;)

Dr. cult. iur. phil. Noire
So far I have only had good experiences with Lalique. So far I have enjoyed Encre Noire à l'extrême, White, Hommage à l'homme and Hommage à l'homme Voyageur. Therefore I MUST have Ombre Noire simply...even as a blind purchase (since nowhere available for testing).

The bottle seems to be identical with the other Noires, only the lid has been changed and is now (unfortunately) not made of wood, but of plastic. The label in matt black with golden lettering really has a special charm. Simply a simple, stylish bottle containing the amber fragrance creation.

The fragrance itself: a great cinema! Freshly sprayed on, the mint is in the foreground first, which is rounded off by the fig leaf and the bergamot sweetly fruity. Beautiful mixture which on the one hand, for a short time directly after the application on the skin cool and immediately afterwards radiates a kind of "warmth". After some time, however, this great mixture "tips over"......and gets even better! Tobacco leaf and cinnamon round off a, in my opinion, strong note of papyrus to which later light, dry incense and cognac are added.

And there comes the following picture into my head:
Mid-1950s, a professor's private library. The walls panelled with dark wood, in a Globus bar an open bottle of cognac, next to it a prepared pipe, on the chair a jacket, the scenario illuminated by warm light from light bulbs which is reflected by the yellowish old scrolls which lie rolled out on a table.

I just can't say it any other way, but damn it! The fragrance has style! He is masculine, conveys seriousness and thoughtfulness. Corduroy trousers, jacket and slider cap, not slim jeans, t-shirt and cappy go for me with Ombre Noire.

The durability on my skin is top, I could still perceive it the next morning, I would call Sillage moderate. Ombre Noire doesn't yell at you, but subtly fits his fragrance DNA: Elegant. Therefore, in my opinion, it is also very well wearable in the office / work. It is definitely an autumn / winter scent and I am very curious how it develops at temperatures around 3-5 degrees Celsius.

Conclusion:

I love him! I love him! Hopefully it's not a limited edition. I will definitely store two more bottles of this great fragrance. Lalique has it all and surprises me over and over again!
