Doesn't quite live up to the name
My 3rd Roja after the Elysium Cologne and the Enigma Cologne. This time a little more expensive, but still one of the "cheaper" Roja's. That's probably why it's one of the better-known and the wonderful name also contributes to this. A midsummer dream that arouses curiosity and makes you want to try it. In my opinion, the name is somewhat misleading, as I find this fragrance too heavy for midsummer. It works very well in mild and warm temperatures, but I wouldn't wear it in hot midsummer.
Of course, Roja is not cheap, but it still offers a lot for the money and you get a very classy and serious fragrance without many playful accents. An absolutely great daily that you can wear to formal activities without any problems. It looks clean and well-groomed and has a very interesting aura that is somewhat captivating and far removed from the usual styles. It also has some classic elements that remind me of the 90s style without being old-fashioned.

The Roja comes in great packaging, but for this price, they could have come up with more. On the other hand, the bottle is very pretty with a beautifully designed cover and the usual great lid. Top!
I have my difficulties with the fragrance description. You can smell these XXL pyramids in Roja, so you get a very complex fragrance that is multi-layered and sophisticated. It's probably too complex for midsummer, as it's not just no-brainer notes that perform here. If you think of midsummer and here as a fresh floral fragrance, you are more likely to expect a scent in the direction of a summery field of flowers. This is absolutely not the case here: you get a very cool fragrance that is relatively fresh but also has some heavy elements. Especially when you look into this huge base, you find notes that don't really fit into a summer fragrance, but it matches. Slightly heavier and slightly sweet notes make this fragrance special and it goes well with these cool fresh florals that are absolutely not feminine as many would expect. This fragrance even has more male fans. This may also be due to the oakmoss and the pleasant spiciness that becomes more present later on. Overall, it's a well-rounded fragrance that gives me a vintage vibe, even though it's not even 10 years old. If you can get it a lot cheaper, I can absolutely recommend this fragrance, especially if you are looking for something classy for everyday wear.
Performance is absolutely satisfactory. Should last about 8-9 hours with initially good sillage. not an absolute powerhouse, but not bad for this relatively fresh fragrance.

Overall, a great fragrance that I can absolutely recommend. However, you should test it beforehand, as this fragrance is quite special and complex and you get something different from what you expect.

As chance would have it...
...I found this fragrance. Atkinsons was not a brand that I was very fond of. I used to test a few fragrances from this house, but none of the releases really knocked me off my feet. It's not that they smell bad, but none of them really made me want to buy them. Some are a little closer, but not quite there.
I got a sample of this Gold Fair in Mayfair through an order that came with it. Of course, you are "forced" to test the free samples, not always with high expectations. With such a sample you are of course more pleased than the usual mainstream samples. Here it was love at first smell. It's nice when you find great fragrances without really having the scent on your radar.

Shortly after the first tests, a bottle was needed. Fortunately, the Atkinsons prices are quite humane in contrast to many niche brands. you can get 100ml for just over €100, RRP is around €180. It's definitely worth it for this great sweet and sensual fragrance that you can wear almost anytime.
This fragrance is a limited edition. The information here says that only 2000 copies were produced. I doubt that. because that's really not a lot for the whole world. Maybe just marketing.

The packaging is extremely high quality and can compete with much more expensive brands. The fragrance comes in a large box that can be opened. The Atkinsons logo is in the middle. The gold bottle is of course also absolutely masterful. For me, it's one of the most beautiful I own, as the gold is absolutely beautifully decorated. Great look!
The more important thing is of course the fragrance, which is also absolutely convincing. The fragrance simply goes in a direction that I absolutely love. This fragrance goes roughly in the direction of Initio Rehab. Not in terms of the fragrance DNA, but this clean, sweet type of fragrance that never gets too heavy. It's listed as a twin to TF Noir Extreme, which in my opinion is a little further away, but if you're looking for an alternative to this one you probably won't be disappointed.
If you are looking for a sweet fragrance that is never too heavy and still performs well, you will definitely find it here. The start reminds me slightly of "Enigma Parfum Cologne | Roja Parfums". It has a light cola vibe and a slightly boozy absinthe note. Nutmeg comes through very nicely and has a very cozy and sensual character. The heart note is followed by soft cocoa, fresh sage and some iris, which never becomes too powdery. The perfect blend of pleasant sweetness and relatively fresh spice. The fragrance feels great on the skin and is a kind of feel-good scent. Ambroxan and incense are added in the base. A pleasant incense note and never too smoky. The DNA of the fragrance changes only slightly throughout and the scent is actually always pleasantly sweet and spicy with a catchy note that lingers in the memory. For me, in cool to mild temperatures up to around 18 degrees, this is a fragrance that you can always wear, as it never becomes too overpowering despite its good sillage
Performance is also top with over 10 hours of durability and quite good sillage. A great overall package for such a pleasant fragrance.

All in all, a perfect unisex fragrance for me, which convinces with sweet-spicy sensuality and is a feel-good fragrance for me over the entire course. An absolute seducer that is sure to receive a few compliments.

Juicy pineapple paired with delicate flowers
After "Almaz | Kajal", this is the second fragrance from this brand in my collection. When I bought Almaz, a sample of this beautiful fragrance was included and I loved it from the start. The DNA and this style of scent is totally my thing, especially as you don't feel like you've smelled anything like it before. The Kajal fragrances are just great, because they smell 100% high quality and just very neat and modern. You can also get them at affordable prices, especially if you buy from the right sites at the right time.
Listed here as a women's fragrance, on other sites as unisex. With Niche, it is not always entirely clear to which gender a fragrance has been assigned. Not a bad thing, as everyone should decide for themselves what they want to wear. With high-quality fragrances, the transitions are usually more fluid than with clichéd designers anyway. With this fragrance, you should be a little more modern and self-confident and wear it. It is also less suited to the bad boy look. It is much easier for women, as fruity-floral notes are actually always suitable. Men who find it too feminine can certainly layer it, which works relatively well with this Lamar.

Kajal is a French house, which probably has Arabic roots or at least follows such a concept in terms of appearance. The fragrances have little to no oriental influence. The boxes of this brand are really pretty and the bottles are really gorgeous, especially these beautifully decorated lids. A real eye-catcher.
To like this Lamar, you have to like fragrances a la Accento by Xerjoff. This Accento is far from a twin, but they share this pineapple and floral direction. Some also compare this Lamar with Delina and Baccarat Rouge. Delina is far from a fragrance twin, but that lychee-rose vibe is subtly reminiscent of this PdM. On the whole, Lamar is independent for me.
Lamar starts with lots of juicy pineapple, which immediately catches me. The DNA simply stays in your memory and you want to smell this juicy note again and again. Subtle notes of apple, orange and something similar to lychee are also present at the opening. This is followed by a gentle spice of saffron and cardamom with a subtle oriental touch. The flowers also start very early, especially rose. A gentle rose that goes well with the juicy pineapple. All in all, a great floral mix that lays gently on the skin. The base is creamy, clean musk and lots of sweetness, which plays a role throughout the fragrance. The sweetness is pleasant, but also allows the other notes to breathe. Overall, it is very harmonious and the DNA is simply very refreshingly independent and seductive.
Performance is amazing, especially for this relatively fresh fragrance DNA. All of the Kajal fragrances tested are convincing in terms of durability and sillage. Especially those who use at least 4 sprays of Lamar will stand out thanks to the really very good sillage. Shelf life should exceed 12 hours, on clothing of course much longer.

Overall, a great fragrance that is best worn in the evening or during leisure time. For everyday wear, it could be too overpowering thanks to its great projection. Anyone who likes juicy pineapple with floral notes should definitely try it, especially the ladies.

Beautiful strawberry and saffron theme
After I recently bought the "Salam | Anfas" from the same company, the Ishq has now followed. The price of this brand is quite steep, but if you get a discount, these fragrances are worth it. Especially as these fragrances are just so pleasing without being like one of many. When I saw that this Ishq was on offer, I quickly ordered a small bottle which totally won me over. It's just so beautiful and the strawberry note sticks in my mind like a catchy tune. The RRP of 305€ is quite a lot, but if you're looking for something special, you're not wrong here. This fragrance is very unique and definitely stands out from the crowd. A fragrance to feel good with these sensual and fruity notes that radiate a little warmth.

Packaging at Anfas is terrific. You get a great box that you can open. The details are beautifully forgiven in a metallic look. Here at Ishq there are also colorful metallic patterns and a great description in gold. Under Ishq is the poetic line: My love for you has no bounds. Definitely well made and does justice to the price.
The star of the creation is of course the strawberry. A note that is extremely rare in fragrances, especially as the main character. And if it is, it is extremely difficult to realize, as this note usually smells rather synthetic. Here you get a wonderful sweet-fruity strawberry. Simply very seductive and juicy, beautifully realized. Here you get a sophisticated fragrance that is somewhat playful due to the strawberry. Baccarat Rouge 540 (Eau de Parfum) | Maison Francis Kurkdjian" is listed here as a twin. Roughly speaking, they have a similar vibe, especially as they also share the notes saffron, jasmine and amber. However, the strawberry makes this fragrance special and sets it apart, so it doesn't have much to do with MFK. However, anyone looking for an alternative to this hackneyed BR400 could find it here.
Strawberry is the main protagonist for almost the entire fragrance. This is accompanied by sensual oriental saffron, which is rather mild compared to many fragrances with this note. A smooth jasmine note is also very present and lends this fragrance a gentle sensuality. A combo of amber and vanilla is also present and intensifies as it moves towards the drydown. For me, it's perfection overall, as I find this mixture of playful strawberry and sensual and cozy notes extremely good. I haven't worn this fragrance in the wild yet, but I'm sure that it stands out and will certainly bring many compliments. Whether for men or women.
Performance is really good. For the first few hours, you have a trail of fragrance permanently in your nose without appearing negative. Simply a great fragrance aura that makes you feel good. The longevity is also easily 12+ hours.

Overall, a wonderful, unique strawberry fragrance that I can't think of any other fragrance that goes in a similar direction. Baccarat Rouge in part, but here just with great strawberry. A fragrance that is best worn in the evening all year round. An enrichment for a broad collection, especially if you like sweet, sensual fragrances.

The best of this series
After I've already reviewed the other two in this series, the 3rd in this series naturally follows, the best in my opinion. I think the original "Le Beau | Jean Paul Gaultier" is successful and is great for the evening or that beach party feeling. I find the "Le Beau Paradise Garden | Jean Paul Gaultier" a bit unharmonious, although wearable and not a complete failure. I find this Le Parfum very balanced and for me it's a kind of all-rounder, as it's also great to wear in everyday life on warmer days. If you like this tropical vibe, you've come to the right place. The nice thing about this fragrance is that it is quite easy to wear and not overwhelming

The fragrance comes in this typical Gaultier tin. Even though it is not a flanker of Le Male, a great sub-series with coconut in the leading role has been developed here. In summer, it's a note that I really appreciate and that simply goes down well with the masses. It stands out from the usual citrus types in summer. If you believe the hypes of Virgin Island Water or, more recently, the Simone Andreoli fragrances, coconut is very well received.
The fragrance progression is very linear and therefore the fragrance notes are rightly not divided into top-heart-base. From start to finish, I think it's a great fragrance that starts off very tropical. The original DNA of Le Beau is clearly recognizable, but here the whole framework seems even more sophisticated. This extreme "Raffaello sweetness" is a little more subdued and sophisticated here and also fits very well into everyday summer life. In addition to the coconut note, there is above all fresh, juicy pineapple and lots of tonka bean, which provide a creamy-sweet coconut. Pleasant light wood and a subtle spiciness are also present in the background. Towards the end or drydown, the tonka becomes more present with a lot of pleasantly soft wood. Very harmonious overall, also reminds me of a somewhat more sophisticated version of "First Instinct Man (Eau de Toilette) | Abercrombie & Fitch"

Performance is great, especially because of the freshness. this fragrance lasts 10+ hours, as do the others in the range. I favor this Le Parfum in the overall package, also because it is versatile. The sillage is also perfect with this one. Well perceptible, but not overpowering as is important with exotic fragrances in many situations.
Price-performance ratio is fine. It was often out of stock in many stores. I don't know whether it is still in production or has been replaced by Paradise Garden. It's not cheap, but if you can find it for €80 per 125ml, that's fair in my opinion.

In conclusion, I can say: A very modern tropical fragrance that will certainly be well received and also performs very well.
