Citrus and leather done right!
This is an excellent citrus and leather, better than Eau Sauvage Fraicheur Cuir, IMO (which I found to have a note clash). I've only tried the Cologne, which lasted well with good projection, but there is also the aftershave, which might differ, for all I know. Some have said it's similar to Aramis, but Aramis has strong aldehydes and florals, which I don't get in Clint (certainly not to the same extent). Grab an old bottle on ebay for the price of a happy meal while you still can!

I like this one, but there are so many!
The thing I like about this rose/oud "Western oud" scent is that the sandalwood dries it out and prevents it from getting too floral, too "chemical," too sweet, etc. If you have a few of these, though, you might not see the point of acquiring a bottle of this one. I obtained a bottle in a swap for something that was redundant so I'm really glad I did it, because this one "ticks all the boxes" for this kind of scent, unlike the others I have, which are a bit too this or that (though Is till like the mild rendition in Ferrari's Oud Essence; this one is significantly stronger, so it's for times when I want that extra kick).

I found the notes on a discounter site!
The notes might not be correct, of course, but this is what they listed: Sandalwood, grapefruit, orange, nutmeg, cedar, lemon and mandarin orange.

Too many masculines from this company with similar names!
This is a review for Les Copains Homme, which was released in 1990. The Estonia fragrance site has the notes for that one as:

Basil, thyme, artemisia, bergamot.

Laurel, carnation, coriander, peru balsam, geranium, jasmine, rose.

Amber, castoreum, leather, moss, patchouli, incense.

It's very similar to my "semi-vintage" Yatagan, and my guess is that vintage Yatagan was like this, as it comes across as deeper and richer than the Yatagan bottle I have now. It's not exactly the same but it's so close I wonder how many would care; some may prefer this one to any formulation of Yatagan! This is really strong stuff, so don't let the floral notes fool you, as these are rather mild compared to the other notes.

Excellent buy at the low price I got!
It cost me less than $10 for 100 ml, with cap and box. There is a citrusy quality that lasts a long time, more orange than anything else. Beyond that the other major element is vanillic, though not gourmand and not too strong (it's not too sweet either). There are some florals to soften it up and a little bit of spice, along with noticeable but non-irritating musk. Overall, I'm really surprised by how good this is, and would wear it in all but the hottest or coldest weather. Longevity and projection are both excellent as well.
