This scent Magic Rose opens with a fresh peony and rose . (Peony dominating) it then moves to the mid notes which seem to be peony,freesia , and what is listed as green notes and violets may actually be Violet leaves.base is in my opinion primarily musk and a hint of cedarwood. All in all a clean, fresh,somewhat hairsprayish scent. Most likely office safe as it will be assumed to be hair product. As the peony dominates this it should by rights have been named Magic Peony but they probably wanted to avoid juvenile idiotic cracks about "magic pee" although this is somewhat synthetic I still find it pleasant, and wish it were more easily accessible in the United States .

I blind bought this one. And it was a fail for me personally. Way too powdery/ sweeeeet violets candy . As described in the title it's like those cheap candy necklaces that look like SweetTarts but taste ( BLech!) . My grandmother loves powdery scents though so I gave it to her for a birthday gift. She liked it and it works well on her. Her other favs are Ombré Rose ,Mary Kay Today , and Lucky # 6 & Lolita Lempicka Fleur Defendue( which I like too) .

I like Attimo L'Eau Florale . It's a easy to wear citrus floral . Unfortunately it has a mixed reception from a audience point of view as it is similar to Clinique Happy and I had a co worker who was allergic ( migraines) to Happy . So YMMV. I get the kumquat , peony,rose,a bit of Jasmine and a clean scrubbed patchouli for the most part.

If you like caramel popcorn with lots of butter ?- give this a try . Bath and body works Brown Sugar & Fig is a definite gourmand scent. Buttery rich this is a fruit and caramel - vanilla scent . Florals and the citrus ( Bergamot) have been steamrollered and paved over with buttery caramel and coconut. The musk is also present but I found it slightly bitter and since I was having some breakout issues with the products I passed the shower gel, lotion and body mist to a co worker who loved it.

Ellen by Ellen Tracy was a birthday gift from my brother on my thirty fifth birthday. When sprayed it was hardly discernible. Later testing revealed a slightly berry/musk/ vanilla scent, not particularly spicy or woodsy to my disappointment. It is a tolerable enough scent I suppose,but not something I wish to work through a 3.4 oz bottle of. I returned it to the discounter for a merchandise credit ( which I promptly spent on a Queen Latifah gift set and a tin of Piroulines). I do plan to repurchase Ellen ,but in a much smaller roll on or travel size spray assorted gift set.
