Best bad buy ever
All right. So it wasn't a complete mispurchase, but when I found out after intensive research in various specialist forums that "EO N°1: Manipur (Pure Perfum)" is not the "EO Nº1 (Pure Perfum)" that I hold in such high esteem, and I was advised not only by PallasCC, but also by Adam herself, who was brought in by her, to go for "Tigerlust (Pure Perfum)" instead, my feet got a little cold. But before I could revise my order, it was already too late and the shipment was already on its way to me. So I resigned myself to go to the souk for a small fee. To make matters worse, the rehearsal that was quickly requested before the order was placed could not be stopped. Sometimes it seems to have to be that way

I got the samples a few days (thanks here to the wonderful Max1403, for his quick support) in front of the bottle and could not quite understand the reluctance from the forums. At this point it was enough for me to be at least positively surprised. However, I could not see any reassurance/justification regarding the $350 issue in it.

So a "full body test" had to be carried out and the bottle deflowered. And now I did not understand the statements from the forums at all. What kind of primordial force was confronting me. Seldom before have I seen oud flanked so brilliantly by beaver's horns and civet. The rose is built in so subordinately that you can only recognize it after reading the notes. Darkest oud with spicy and sharp animalism. Just my thing. ☺

Now I don't know if my relief about the positive surprise leads to a distorted assessment, but the fragrance is for me one of the hot candidates for the second best fragrance 2020. Thanks to PallasCC for ordering so quickly. ♥

Amber Board
Amber is embedded in an oriental enamel in most of the name-giving fragrances, where it leaves behind a more or less slightly animal, wicked note. It's about amber/honey-coloured molasses to feel good with a counteracting, yet restrained texture. The (little) salt in the soup, so to speak.

In a robust environment amber with a supporting role is very rare. A welcome change for me is "Amra Al Andalous", where fortunately the tenderly melting and lovely accompanying notes are largely absent. Only the vanilla contained in it cuts off the peaks of roughness. Nevertheless, a smoky, extremely oriental and very broad-banded amber scent that completely meets my taste.

I would like to thank Georg very much that he has now tightened the reins even more with MGO Amber. Angelica root and cedar, but even more clearly leather and Styrax, provide the Amber with a rough matrix, in which it fits perfectly and is worn. Even more smoke would probably make the amber unrecognizable.

As someone who, like me, appreciates resinous and smoky smells, I cannot imagine an amber interpretation better. Awesome!

It's not the victory yuletide mouth's fault..
Because of exactly this "stupid" scent I am here and as a result of it, after almost four years, I am poorer by a considerable amount of money. It could have gone on like this. But no, they absolutely had to take my favorite fragrance of that time out of the program.

To find an alternative, I tried a search engine on the Internet and it led me to exactly this Parfumo.de page of "Encre Noire (Eau de Toilette)", because it would be so similar to the deceased

In fact, however, I was so distracted by the abundance of information and offers that the black ink degraded to triviality. But the ink did not disappear from my radar and fortunately a small sample was washed ashore at my place quite early. And...

He was only marginally involved with the replacement he was looking for, but...!!! For that price? Roundabout 20 € for 100 ml? Even 150 ml of shower gel (which I can't recommend by the way) cost more!

I'm really a big Vetiver fan and I've already tried a lot of things. It can't be smoky enough for me. So this vetiver is not the pinnacle of creation. It can't be. Because if it was even more drastic, it would never have been such a success.

In the meantime I have already tested some budget fragrances that I know from my young years in their new edition and I was regularly startled. They are not harmonious, have no depth and seem unspecific.

Not like this. "Encre Noire (eau de toilette)" is very stable. It has quality and performs well. And it can compete with good vetiver scents that are maybe five times more expensive. It's not sweet, but robust and therefore a pleasant surprise on the grab tables of online perfumeries.

Although it is qualitatively outperformed by other vetivers in my collection, I cannot give it away. I just can't. It wouldn't be fair to him. Should I sell it for 10 € + postage? There are more emotions attached to it than to some other fragrances in my collection, which cost 10 times as much

Encre Noir, you hold up a mirror to a lot of people. You're an indicator and you make people think. Thanks, Encre Noir

Full of nostalgia for times long past...
I am standing in the attic of the old barn of my grandparents' farm, which has long since been abandoned. Through the tiny sash bar window at the gable the light falls and illuminates the small room. In the corners hang cobwebs full of wood shavings that were caught there decades ago. The dust sails between the incoming rays. Evaporation from the old suitcases and chests, which have been stored there for as long as I can remember, is in the air. The smell of the parched wooden beams and the miserable and encrusted remains of the pitch of the ridge purlin mixes with them. I carefully put the old painting back on the floor, which I had previously kept. It will remain here. Only the memories I will take with me. I walk carefully down the steep wooden stairs to the hayloft and from there I continue over the old crooked ladder to the ground. The barn door creaks behind me. One last time I turn around to the place where I spent a wonderful time of my childhood and say goodbye forever... with tears in my eyes.

Fossil fuel - A dark brown symphony of horror
There are harsh scents and there are unusual harsh scents. With the first type it is fairly easy to make a comparison with another scent to help orientate oneself or to give others some guidance. With Tar I have difficulties. I got the scent as a bottling a few months ago and it Travell-TZ was leaking, as most of the others had done so far. Every time I touched the TZ, my fingers smelled so strongly afterwards that all other scents were covered by it. The perfume is oily and the colour is like motor oil Somehow this corresponds with the name and the smell. Since then, the scent has burned itself into my memory

Why he is called Tar, I don't know exactly, because tar smells a bit different. But the unusual semi-natural and dark shape has the scent in common with tar. Smoky, black with brownish highlights. Liquorice and aniseed provide the dull and rough. In addition, there is a sudden and tenacious note, which is presumably due to the addition of tonka bean, caramel and coffee. How long did Matos experiment to create this work of art, which I find so difficult to classify. I find the attention here far below average. Sure, it's no everybody's darling, but where are the people who are thinking about getting the seventh pure wood smoke scent? I dare you. It will stay in your memory

Thanks to PallasCC for giving me the opportunity to test this exceptional fragrance and another thank you for the bottling, which will certainly give me pleasure for a very long time due to the merciless shelf life and sillage.
