Nothing is fake
...or as the "cool kids" would say: #nofilter

I find it is quite rare that you can perceive or smell out almost every contained fragrance note of a perfume.

The most likely succeeds still in the top note. In the further course, however, the Ingredenzien usually mix, so that usually no clearly flowing transition is to be made out.

The whole thing is then topped only by seemingly adventurous fragrance pyramids, which sound like a string of the most exquisite raw materials. Expectantly sprayed on, however, one often sobered up: Joa, smells vanillig.

Why I have chosen this somewhat general introduction? Well, because we have it with "Olympēa Blossom" quite clearly with a fragrance to do, which does not pretend something to what he is not.

The notes given above form a clear thread:

Head: Sweet rose loukhoum, underpinned by subtle spice, forms the intense prelude.

Heart: juicy fruit notes, dark, more currant than pear, gradually join in and offer some restraint to the sugary rose.

Base: a delicate veil of cashmeran lays itself delicately on the skin, dusted with a little vanilla powder and finally garnished with a single patchouli leaf, which gives off a little of its aroma here and there.

Now you might think the fragrance is boring, because absolutely predictable. But far from it! Rather, I find it absolutely refreshing that you get here exactly what is on it. Without beautification, without pretense. Without filters.

Finally, it should be noted that the fragrance has no resemblance to Olympēa, Olympēa Intense or the Olympēa Aquas. Basically, this is an independent creation, which one presents advertising in a popular and well-known flacon.

But this fact is ultimately the only pretense.

No money, no action?!
Anticipation is the most beautiful joy, as the saying goes...

Yeah, no - of course! The last 3 days were an absolute nightmare! That's how 'long' it took until the new Valentino found his way to me. But no trace of anticipation... In fact I suffered from impatience! Voce Viva was just one of those special new releases that I could hardly wait for in advance.

This much to say in advance: I am relatively sure that this fragrance will polarize... In every direction.

Immediately after spraying on, a sweet mixture of fruity tangerine and a little vanilla is spread out. Here and there the O-flower also flashes out, while the ginger remains non-existent for my nose... Which I welcome very much though.

The first impression: Super pleasant, harmonious and... pleasing! (Here, probably the first ones are already beating their hands over their heads)

In the further course of the fragrance becomes warmer and more intense due to the increasing vanilla note. Fruity notes, however, continue to resonate and give the heart note a cheerful effervescence.

With me, slowly but surely a certain relief is spreading. There is no trace of the moss listed above. You were lucky! I am not necessarily known for preferring green or too "natural" forest and meadow notes in fragrances. Even if they should be crystalline.

But... Wait! What's this? Towards the base, I suddenly notice a new, slightly salty note. This is not...

But there is a minimal green mossiness which fits perfectly into the already mentioned tangy-fruity and warm vanilla notes. I had not expected this twist and to my surprise I think it's great!

By the way, you can't complain at all about H+S. The scent is not exhausting, but meanwhile it has been nestled up to me for at least 7 hours and is easy to perceive at any time.

My summary: Yes, the fragrance clearly serves the mainstream. No, it is not an experimental, mossy-spicy innovation. I would, neutrally speaking, also place the fragrance itself in the feminine rather than the unisex corner.

I can well imagine that some will be disappointed. Just those who expected a small revolution based on the scents and the fact that a designer fragrance is advertised as unisex.
Fans of sweet scents, who are looking for something new and exciting in the mainstream area, should definitely get their money's worth here! :-)

J. Couture
I am a big fan of Juicy Couture fragrances. Even though they all resemble each other quite a bit, the sugar-sweet waters in the colourful, kitschy flacons are simply fun!

In terms of durability, however, they leave a lot to be desired, at least for me... Which is the perfect transition to "Day for Women" by Fragrance One:

If Viva La Juicy and Viva La Juicy Gold Couture had a baby, it would be called "Day for Women". Radiant jasmine wrapped in warm caramel notes - exactly those ingredients that make up the charm of the Juicy Couture range.

Fortunately, however, you get what you are looking for in vain at JC: Above-average durability and sillage! Without re-spraying, you are surrounded by a delicious veil of scent for a whole (working) day. I also find it worth mentioning that the scent is of high quality and not alcoholic or diluted.

I find the bottle solala. It's rather simple and unspectacular - but again, it has an excellent spray head that releases perfectly dosed and powerful spray bursts

Interestingly enough, I find the day version much "louder" than the night version. The latter is, according to its name, rather darker and more mysterious, but somehow also much more reserved. That's not what I had expected.

********

PS: I made a conscious decision not to include the head behind 'Fragrance One' in my rating. It should only be about my assessment of the fragrance...

Yes, until recently I never thought I would EVER own a fragrance of this brand. But, at least as far as this fragrance is concerned, I was happy to be taught a better lesson

Hunter-gatherer..
When I want something desperately, I can be extremely stoic and persistent. Especially when the object of desire is almost impossible to find

This is what happens with this scent. Since it was added to the perfume database in 2019, my antennae have been extended. The pastel rainbow bottle and the outrageously seductive-sounding scents had me immediately taken a liking to it.

For weeks I searched all the channels, trying to find something that would make my fingers sore. In vain. I couldn't find the sweetheart anywhere

In the course of the year the fragrance popped up from time to time in some Spanish or Greek online shops. Unfortunately, I was only ever told on my inquiries: "I'm sorry, but we do not ship to Germany!"

*grumble*

When I had almost given up hope, I suddenly and unexpectedly received an automated email from a well-known auction house last week! (Hooray for the possibility to save search queries!!!)

"ITEM AVAILABLE!"

Good things come to those who wait. The smell fluttered into my house today

The first (optical) impression was not disappointing. What a great, high-quality bottle! Shimmering rainbow colours, cuddling doves - what more could you ask for?

The opening of the fragrance is relatively fresh and citrusy, as the top notes already suggest. Usually this is not my case, but here there is a slightly powdery sweetness, which makes the whole thing quite interesting.
A kind of "old school vibe" is also spreading. I don't know the original L'air du Temps, but this is how I imagine it to be. It's been around for a few years now.

As the fragrance progresses, the citrus notes fade away and the scent gains more and more warmth and sweetness. The finish reminds me of the base note of "Pure XS for Her" by Paco Rabanne, which is one of my absolute favourites. Here, however, the popcorn was exchanged for honey, which is why the Ricci comes across a little tamer and less sugary.

For an eau de toilette, by the way, the durability is considerable. The fragrance has been on my skin for several hours and there is still no end in sight.

The waiting, the searching, the hoping, the worrying... It was all worth it in the end. I am happy about my new addition - who can convince both internally and externally, over the whole length! :-)

A (premature) obituary..
It took me a while to realize that neither of us will be happy for the rest of our lives.

I'd been wondering how I'd get to see you so rarely. Your usual place was often empty and sometimes others of your kind had already taken it for themselves

I only became really suspicious when your supposed successor 'Intensément' came into the spotlight. Your names may be similar, but you couldn't be more different...

You are one of the most heavenly scented beings I have ever met. Even though you were never as popular as your big sister, who saw the light of day three years before you and is still the absolute star of your family - it was you who took my heart by storm.

Your praline sweetness paired with the tastiest hazelnut is driving me crazy. You're powdery without being dusty. You're sweet without being good. When I take you along, you stay by my side - hold me tight. All day long.

I just can't believe your days seem to be numbered now. Even your virtual self is gradually disappearing... And where you still exist, you have to dig deeper and deeper into your pockets. Since you're worth it, I'm taking it while I still can. I don't want to miss you. Because even though our time together was short, it was intense. Just as your name promised. ❤️
