Kissed by the muse? Guessing...
I ordered this fragrance spontaneously and blindly for two reasons.

First and foremost, of course, because of the scents that I was directly addressed by: Almond, hazelnut, cocoa, vanilla... All ingredients that sound like a gourmand treat.
In addition, the pretty bottle attracted my attention directly! The deep blue, in combination with the golden shimmer, looks harmonious and very aesthetic. (Reminded me of "Midnight Shimmer" by Michael Kors!)

The first half hour after spraying, is a certain resemblance to "Angel Muse (Eau de Parfum" by Mugler not from the skin... er... To show my hand. That's probably due to hazelnut and patchouli. In contrast to the Mugler scent, however, a delicious almond note is quickly added here, which gradually puts the patchouli in its place.

Over time, the fragrance then develops in a completely different, individual direction... Remember the good old Kaba powder?! Imagine how as a child you would spill a whole pack of it on the floor... Beside mother's roar, a deliciously smelling cocoa cloud spreads in the kitchen - which literally makes your mouth water!

It's exactly the same with this fragrance! The cocoa clearly dominates the base. But not warm steaming or freshly boiled, but rather dry and powdery - like Kaba! :)

Also worth mentioning is the good workmanship of the flacon. The glitter does not crumble, even after repeated rubbing, and stays where it should. The lid is surprisingly made of metal, which I had not expected before. The little rhinestone prodigal... You can do it, but you don't have to.

Well, I'll be off. I'm in the mood for a cup of cocoa

Orientéa
Since the announcement of the latest Flanker from the Olympéa series, I was full of anticipation for a first "test drive". Today was the day! So buckle up and be curious if I had a LEGENDAR day... ¶)

First of all I would like to mention the scents I got from the official Paco Rabanne Homepage:

"...floral intensity: desert palm blossom, ginger blossom, amber chord,
Addiction Factor: Salty Plum, Vanilla, Absolute Tonka Bean."

So far, so tasty. After the first sprayer, however, a small disappointment spreads. I smell coconut. A scent not listed in the description that is one of my hate scents. Fortunately, this impression is short-lived: the salty vanilla, my hot and dearly beloved salty vanilla - which already makes Olympéa Intense so exciting and sexy for me - fights its way into the foreground. At this moment you can clearly see the original version of the fragrance.

Interestingly, this impression does not last very long either. The plum comes rolled up and blends darkly and sensually into the illustrious turmoil. As if by magic, a completely new, independent fragrance emerges, which hardly seems to have anything in common with the typical Olympéa. A great twist, since so many flankers are generally too close to the original and therefore not at all attractive.

The blend of vanilla, salt and plum makes Olympéa Legend a true Oriental. Something I hadn't expected at all.

H+S are breathtaking, in the most positive sense: sprayed in the morning, I clearly perceived the scent throughout the day and until evening. He never seemed pushy or "too much". Well done, Paco Rabanne!!

Even if he can't outdo Olympéa Intense in my eyes (or my nose), I will definitely get a copy. Here you get a high-quality, independent fragrance in a beautiful bottle for your money.

Dear ones, that was a great day!

A drama in three acts...
...spoilers: There's a happy ending!

I like the great black opium very much. Unfortunately he had to move out again sooner or later because his H+S (on me) disappointed me.
So I was accordingly hot for the Intense variant, I hoped for more "steadfastness" from this one.

From a nice online retailer in Italy, I was lucky to get a bottle. This arrived today and the fragrance was immediately generously applied with a great deal of anticipation...

1. Act: I cheer with delight! Shortly after spraying, I am enveloped in an incredibly intense and dark-fruity breeze, paired with the full aroma of a freshly brewed black coffee. According to the fragrance pyramid the blue absinthe should also have a guest appearance here... Unfortunately I don't have a clue how Absinthe should smell. With alcohol I like it, surprise - surprise, namely rather fruity and sweet.

2. Act: All of a sudden the love snout takes on dramatic traits! The heart note spreads and creeps out, in the form of the now well-known 'Jasmin-Sambac'. Suddenly the scent changes completely and reminds totally of "Alien" by Mugler.
I am madly disappointed, almost angry about this development. I have nothing against "Alien" in itself, I even possessed it for a long time. But... If I want to smell like "Alien", I'll use "Alien"!

I'm annoyed when I let go of my wrist. Cursed everything and everyone. (Hey, it's a drama!) But then...

3. Nude: The salvation comes in the form of an espresso macchiato, crowned with vanilla milk foam. He hits the evil Jasmin into flight or pushes her into the background in such a way that she still remains perceptible - but at least the alien was shot back into space.

Relief spreads. The audience breathes a sigh of relief, applause resounds. That's how it should be, that's how it can stay. It does! Because H+S are really successful and the beautiful, deep blue shimmering bottle rightly carries the addition "Intense".

All's well, all's well

Who does not search, finds nevertheless...
Thanks to a dear Parfuma I came across this fragrance by chance. Actually, I was primarily looking forward to the ordered bottling of another perfume when I opened her fragrance mail. But 'True Story' was included as a nice encore. I had never heard of it before, but the name made me curious...

Admittedly, the almost crazy sequence of fragrances made me smile a bit after the first test. For me, the fragrance generally contains neither floral nor spicy. It starts rather tasty fruity and with a lot of Wumms! In the transition, the gourmand notes gradually unfold, of which the chocolate clearly has the trousers on. At some point a touch of patchouli will be added. That's the way it stays and the scent nestles comfortably-warm to its carrier.

So far so good. Honestly, I could totally understand if you were thinking, "Hmm, okay. Sounds completely unspectacular, everything has been there before.

But what makes the scent so interesting for me after all? I'll be glad to tell you! I am usually very difficult with fragrances that have chocolate and patchouli in the base. Often the chocolate develops into a dark, bitter companion. 70 % plus! I don't like it in reality, because I'm rather the creamy milk or white chocolate type.

The problem with Patchouli is that it quickly seems too shrill, squeaky and overdosed for my nose. So I already missed some scents in the trydown, which I thought were really great before.

But not with 'True Story': Here the chocolate has exactly the right amount of cocoa and the patchouli holds back elegantly or rather underlines the sweetness of the chocolate.

I'm fished! Wants to have!!! :)

Cheers!
This is once again one of THESE fragrances... One of those varieties that has attracted attention mainly because of its exceptionally pretty bottle. Blind buy alarm!

In this case, however, the fragrance pyramid also arouses curiosity. Marshmallow, almond me... Yummy.

The fragrance keeps its promise: I perceive fluffy, creamy marshmallows - bathing happily in warm (almond) milk. In the later course a slightly vanilla muskush breeze is added, which does not change the overall impression any more.

All in all a pleasant, warm fragrance that is quite convincing. Why does he still have to move out? Well, he totally reminds me of "Yes I Am" by Cacharel, which is already part of my collection. Even if both pyramids are quite different, the milk chord is almost identical for my nose.

The bottle, reminiscent of a martini glass, makes a good impression. It is very high quality processed, everything fits. The handle is made of solid metal, from the pictures I would have rather typed on plastic. Great!

Even if you would fit optically very well into my collection, the space in the showcase is simply too limited. Two almost identical scents, that's when it stops. Take care, it was short - but nice with you.
