Blind buy / No brainer
This is a really well done Millesime Imperial clone. The scent is magnetic and hipnotic, like a salty watermelon, just like MI. However it smells more artificial in a way, less natural smell, which is probably why it lasts so much longer than the OG. Value for money, for sure. Blind buy, surely, without much risk. Only downside is just the bloody horrific bottle it comes in. The bottle is trash. Looks like trash, and is trash. The one I had literally fell apart, as the cap was holding too strong. I pulled it and the entire thing separated. 10/10 scent. 0/10 bottle (if you care for such a thing)

The King of Sweet
There’s not many perfumes that excite me anymore, but I must confess, when I bought and used a sample of Layton for the first time…. Oh man.
My first experience with the house of Marly, and such a great one. I ended up buying the bottle right here in the Souk. I just… had to had it.
Like I keep saying my follow perfumerie apassionados, I trust you all know already that there are THOUSANDS of good and great perfumes, but just a selected few are truly special.
Layton, kind of reminiscent of Boss Bottled Intense EDP (which I also have, cause it’s just damn delicious) it makes it more masculine and just a BEAST in the projection and Sillage department. You will get noticed. For me personally, it’s a autumn and winter scent, I don’t see myself using it in the heat, cause like I said… it’s powerful.
I asked my female boss what she thought about it the first time, and her words were “delicious”. I could ask 10 women more, and probably their answers would be more or less the same. Don’t over-spray, you don’t need it, and it can become too much. I consider this to be something SPECIAL, and worth every cent.

There are scents… and scents
From my experience with perfumarie, there’s scents… and scents.
For years now, I’ve had dozens of fragrances, followed the gurus (hey, Jeremy) in their “self-imposed” compliment hunt on us, apassionados.
I’ve purchased a LOT of fragrances, tried them, liked them… used them for a while. And ended up keeping only 7.
Why did I do that? The more I got and used the hyped perfumes, I realized that there are INFINITE amount of good and even great perfumes.
Nonetheless, there’s a few, a selected few, that are special, where the others are not.
Millesime Imperial has a special place in my heart, and is one of my Top 7. Probably the number one. It’s amazing, exciting, makes me want to wear it for myself, and every time I get a wiff of it, I have such a sense of exclusivity, of luxury, wanting more.
It doesn’t project (almost at all), however this is the perfect skin scent, when you kiss or hug someone, trust me, they will give you a compliment. But don’t use it for that reason. Keep it exclusive. In fact, I am happy that not that many people “hype” it. Keep something special, special. This is not just any scent.
Thank you Jan from the Souk, who made it possible for me to try it and never let it go!
