Masculine classic
Monsieur de Rauch has all the characteristics of a smooth, spicy and woody/earthy top drawer fragrance. The quality of the notes are evident as the smooth masculine scents leaves the wearer in total masculinity. It's definitely a fragrance of it's time and these gems are not made anymore and if they are by some chance, the quality just wouldn't be the same. This Chypre has a wonderful aroma and my vintage bottle wasn't all that expensive. I'm proud to display this classic next to such heavyweights as Halston Z-14 and Vintage Fendi for men. MDR is not a performance beast by any means but it's decent in that area and of course the Oakmoss driven drydown is the stuff of legends. I'll wear this juice sparingly because it's worth that much to me.

A class by itself scently speaking
As I sit here and scroll through some of these reviews I'm very much amazed and impressed at how these reviews are written. There is absolutely NO WAY on God's green Earth I'd be able to intelligently take apart a fragrance and break it down like I've just witnessed. For one thing my sense of smell just isn't that advanced as such that I'd be able to put together that kind of review, especially the 5 paragraph long reviews. Maybe one fine day it'll come up on me. For now though all I CAN say is that this is a fine tuned underrated scent from the final decade of quality masculine perfumerie, because after the year 2000 it has been a fast track race to the bottom barrels of scented water. Fox fragrances confirms this is a Vintage formulation that I ALWAYS COVET. However the performance could be better but that could be due to the age of the fragrance. It smells wonderful though and the discontinuation forces me to continue to scroll for backup stock. Kudos to Mr Roundnitzka for putting this together at the age of 85 and bowing out gracefully after. I keep hearing Ocean Rain being connected to Diorella so I I'll be the future judge of that and I wouldn't DARE buy the reformed juice. NO WAY EVER MY FRIEND! But this is a great creation despite the odd name of it.

A different class of classic
1976... Generally, when you inquire info regarding mens colognes, the only names you hear are Brut, Halston etc.

Royal Copenhagen Musk IMHO doesn't get the accolades it deserves. I'm here to say that this fragrance needs to get more love. It's an economical output with clean powdery traits and the drydown is classic, all masculine all the time. As for performance, I get a very solid 6 hours of wear time, maybe more. I'm referring, of course, to the very first launch by Stern, not five star and definitely not Parlux or whomever is behind the distribution these days. The scent is not your typical unisex candy sweet fougere and that's a good thing because you'll definitely not smell like everyone else.

Can't go wrong for $10
Myrurgia has been around for a million yrs so anytime I come across a fragrance from a legendary perfume house I always give it some thought. There's not too much to say about this one. It's a decent fruity citrusy offering that's on the synthetic side, which means it's worth every bit of the sawbuck I spent on it

This is part of Myrurgia's Yacht Man series and this is the only one I currently own but if I like this one enough I'll most likely check out some of the other releases.

Kenny would be proud
Cool masculine quite linear fragrance with the typical dreamy nuclear drydown. This looks really good on my dresser next to other heavyweights of the era but the thing is this is no heavyweight. There could be a few reasons why. Maybe my skin is too dry which I doubt, maybe the fragrance longevity is over hyped, which is possible or maybe the almost 41yr old bottle has seen better stronger days, which is the most likely reason. I guess I'll just have to get a couple more bottles to see. Lol
