I'll start by saying that, so far, the only scents I've actually really liked by Demeter have been the "Pistachio Ice Cream", "Wet Garden" and JellyBelly's "Blueberry Muffin". Others I've tried have verged on being OK, but not great.... "Strawberry Ice Cream" smells OK - like a cheap tub of strawberry ice cream, "Leather" smells like whatever it is they spray in new cars or on new carpet.... "Neroli" and "Tiger Lily" lack headiness/depth/warmth but are pleasant, "Jasmine" freshens up clothing nicely.

This "Almond" scent doesn't even smell good enough to be in one of those children's "make your own fragrance" kits.

"Almond" doesn't smell like green, fresh almond, doesn't smell like marzipan, doesn't smell like sugarcoated almonds, amaretto, OR almond essence.
It smells like melting plastic DIPPED IN some watered down almond essence that's been stored in a cupboard in mother's kitchen since the Eighties.
Or maybe even some cake batter (OK, at a push I'll go with biscotti) that's been in a tupperware since the Eighties.
This is weak, sugary, plasticky crap and there's absolutely no other way of looking at it.

Sweet & Creamy Caramel Dessert
Sticky, gooey caramel topping on creamy vanilla ice cream cum biscuity banoffee pie.

This lingered in my room hours after I'd been there and my friend asked if I'd been wearing Prada Candy. They are certainly similar.
I find Prada Candy rather "refined" and "sophisticated" (with its violet/rose/iris, tangerine hints and benzoin overload) while I find Sun di Gioia quite "playful" and "fun", not to mention stronger, sweeter, and boasting a touch more sillage than Candy.

I do not smell frangipani in this. I was disappointed by this fact at first, but I love this caramel and ice cream, biscuity cheesecake combo so much that I no longer mind.

There is a fresh floral scent lurking beneath, which shows through more as this wears on. I enjoy it, though I can't see it as frangipani; I would say it leans more toward ylang and iris.

My main qualm with this scent is that it only seems to last for around three hours on me.
(EDIT - OK, having given this a fair chance to shine, I found that this can last all day, i.e an average eau de parfum amount of time: I wore it from 12-6 and it was still there, albiet delicately so and with only very little projection. I could still smell it. What surprised me at this point was that I could smell the frangipani! On my skin it is in the base! Ah...! Yes, still smells lovely after six hours.)

I love this scent.

I personally believe this would sit nicely in the collection of those who're fans of Prada Candy, Alien Essence Absolue, and/or Lolita Lempicka's Elle L'aime.

The bottle and ad campaign are strangely similar to the bottle and ad campaign for DUNE by Dior, though they smell absolutely nothing alike, both invoke reminiscence of bygone Summer days.

Fresh Summer's Day Pick-Me-Up Scent.
This is an enjoyably fresh, citrussy scent that centers around tea, pear, jasmine & honey.
It is sweet and smooth, with a tang - a gentle bite - from the tea and lemon. The honey & pear add sweetness and soften the scent enough to prevent it from becoming too citrussy. The scent rests on a warm sandalwood & mainly musk dominated base.

I try not to generalize or define scent by age, but I believe that this has a fresh and youthful character. I don't believe that this is only suited to the young, however, but moreso invokes a carefree & comforted essence - for me personally.

I picture bare legs before me, feet outstretched and shoeless, grassy toes, butterflies fluttering & daisies smattered all around. A summertime outing - possibly an outing with family, but the wearer is detached, focusing her attentions on the twinkling light, through the leaves on the trees, that caresses a nearby wall, there's a soft breeze in the midday heat. The wearer is taking from this moment a memory that is all hers and hers alone, to be stored and revived by the soft & lingering scents of honeysuckle & jasmine petals that Scarlett brings like a lost friend's reassuring laughter. Pollen, a fleeting sense of wellbeing, & promises not yet broken.

The appeal of Scarlett might be her simplicity.
She is refreshing & relaxing. Quietly lulling.

The scent projects to arm's length and lasts for around 3+ hours. This scent is ideally suited to late Spring/Summer, working as a gentle reminder that there are Summers yet to be had & cherished memories of Summers long since passed.

In The Heat Of The Morning
Quite possibly my favorite orange blossom based scent.

Resinous, woody & creamy. Delectably sweet cinnamon, marzipan, orange blossom & sandalwood.

Tenacious, though with soft projection. Can last for up to 8 hours on my skin, albeit delicately, but I always apply three sprays per wrist to make it a little more noticeable.

Up close there's lots of amber and cinnamon in a rather biscuitty & edible way - subtly similar to almond biscotti. In the air, from a distance, this appears more powdery, fresh & floral.

The dominant orange blossom note is thankfully not too citrussy & certainly not overly fresh & sweet in a washing powder/fabric conditioner kind of way.
In the drydown the orange blossom is tapered by sweet amber/vanilla & smooth sandalwood.

As a couple of others elsewhere have noted, this shares some similarities with D&G's "red cap", but it's mostly alike in character/vibe. This is far, far softer and doesn't have the sharp, distinct coriander and basil notes that red cap boasts. So this could not replace red cap, by any means, but can be enjoyed thoroughly by fans of the latter - especially with this being so impressively purse-friendly.

This is a beautiful, feminine (womanly) creamy & woody orange blossom scent. I only wish it had more strength!

Butterfly Kisses
A warm, moody, smoky, vintage rose with cumin adding tartness to an otherwise broodingly subtle, woody character.

Doesn't project very much, but this admittedly adds to the style - it is gently inviting, and the occasional moments when I catch a hint of moist, honeyed rose petals emerging through this fog are almost too lovely to bear. (Certainly something that fans of other Yves Rocher rose based scents would appreciate - it does have their signature rose style!)

This is an almost edible, chocolatey rose with a tender freshness at the core that sparks an awakening of the senses - a soft embrace that makes this appear best suited to an intimate 'evening' setting, adding contrast to the dryness of the scent. (Would this be better appreciated in the Sahara or on a steaming, rainy day?)

Smells nothing like L'Agent (as opposed to what was stated by others, elsewhere) on/to me, thankfully, and the biggest drawback of the scent is its softness, read: weakness. Sad but true. Glad it doesn't smell like L'Agent, but sad that it doesn't have more strength. Wears skin close for up to six hours on my skin, trailing off with a delectably buttery labdanum.
